I will soon be shipping my 2000 Prowler from Germany to Arizona. The military has contracted a shipping company that requires the car to have 6" of road clearance in order to drive onto their transport vehicle. What is the clearance of the Prowler, and how can it be "temporarily" raised for shipping if it is less than 6" anywhere?

Gerry.......the ground clearance for the Prowler is 4.5 inches. I'm not sure how you would raise the car, but perhaps some of the guys on the board might have some suggestions.

Good Luck!

Jerry, Welcome to the board.

Ask them why 6 inches?
Maybe planks of wood would help to get it over the crown if there is one?

Hope it all works out.

I will put on my thinking cap today.

Because they have a steep plank where they drive the car onto the container... I would personally have this car palated, or, better, crated.

I agree with Todd, You should have the car crated up and shipped that way. It is the safest and guarantees the best protection if something falls against your vehicle while being transported and handled. There are plenty of companies who specialize in this. I'm not sure of who to contact in Germany, but I will find out who we use here in the states and post them later.
