LET ME START BY SAYING I AM SORRY IN ADVANCE IF I MESS UP BUT I AM NEW AT ALL THIS POSTING STUFF. NOW THAT I GOT THAT OUT OF THE WAY, I JUST WANTED TO SAY I AM SO HAPPY TO FIND THIS SITE AND YOU PEOPLE. I FOUND THE SITE ABOUT A WEEK AGO BUT JUST GOT THE NERVE TO REGISTER AND POST. YOU ALL SOUND SO NICE, WONDERFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE THAT I WISH I HAD FOUND THIS SITE BEFORE I BOUGHT MY CAR (ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO). I HAVE A QUESTION DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAY BE CAUSING A RATTLE IN MY MIDDLE COUSEL ABOVE THE A/C VENTS? SOMETHING SEEMS TO BE LOOSE, I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT IN UNDER WARRANTY BUT AM AFRAID OF LETTING PEOPLE TAMPER WITH MY CAR SINCE I AM A BIT FUSSY (I KNOW THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS BUT I DONT WANT THEM DRIVING MY CAR JUST BECAUSE OF A LITTLE RATTLE). ALSO, I BOUGHT MY CAR OUT OF STATE BECAUSE I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERS I CALLED I HAD TO PAY ABOUT $20,000 ABOVE STICKER SO I DONT KNOW ANY GOOD SERVICE CENTERS IN CALIFORNIA(I LIVE IN ENCINO NEAR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS) ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED IT IS SOO COOL TO FIND OTHERS WHO LOVE THIS CAR AS MUCH AS I DO, IHAVE NEVER MET ANOTHER OWNER AND HAVE ONLY SEEN TWO CARS EVER IN THE STREET THANKS ------------------ |

Hey Doc!
There has been posts about this squeeky noise coming from the instrument cluster. I believe it was just a matter of adjustment or inspection. Just give it a bit and someone will help you out here soon! I have not had this issue with my CAT. Later... ------------------ |

Hi Doc-welcome. (love the waving hand Dan!) You might take a look yourself if your handy. The dash top is held in place by velcro. Grab hold from near the front window and pull up and toward you when sitting in the drivers seat. It will eventually come off. The guage face, ( the painted part) will come off with the dash top. Check it out or ride around with the top off to find the prob.Maybe just some foam under something to stop the noise. The service manual is a great thing if you plan to dig in. ------------------ |

Welcome Bob, Yes, parts of the dash can come off easily so you maybe able to look in and see. I see you meet Butchee and Dan, (is Dan drowning and looking for help with that hand wave?) Anyway, you'll find a great group here, don't be shy. ------------------ |

Hi Bob and welcome to POA! Ontario JCP has an excellent service department if you need one. Kirk Irvine is the Service Manager 909-390-9898. We have an event planned for April 22, 2001 that will include a brunch and a wildflower cruise to the Antelope Valley area afterward. I'll be posting the full information soon in the events section of the board. we'd love to have you join us. Maybe others can answer some of your questions about your car while you're there. The event starts at the Bobs Big Boy in Toluca Lake at 9 AM on April 22, 2001. ------------------ |

Hi Bob, there is the dealer over in Glendale with a good service tech, and mine here in Valencia with a good service tech. I have them do all my work here, and they, while still dealing with the Orange, a DC lag not their bit, have been able to figure out all my lil problems just fine. You can call my guys here 662-252-5337. Kevork is the Tech, Jerry is the guy who you deal with when you drop the car off and Kirk is the service manager. All GREAT guys. ------------------ |
