I will be cruising Mulholland Drive real soon in my Mulholland Prowler! Spoke with Eric Lee at Latham Motors in Twin Falls, Idaho and he is going to deliver the car (in Cal.) to my door for under MSRP! Thanks to all who helped my find my dream! I look forward to meeting and going on some cruises with you! Phil - your off the hook BTW - he is overloaded with Vipers and Prowlers right now and has to reduce his inventory by 1 Million (I assume dollars). He is making deals! ------------------ |

The slow down in the stock market and economy is starting to take its toll on luxury type items. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2001/mar2001/auto-m13.shtml ------------------ This message has been edited by NightProwler on 03-22-2001 at 11:55 AM |

Strong suggestion: I just bought a silver Prowler, 2001, in So. Cal and I would urge you not to drive it until you install the mud flaps. It is real easy to damage to paint on the sides of the car without them. It is interesting that the bolt holders are already installed on the fender, the part is a Mopar part and yet Chrysler doesn't make them standard equipment. Lastly, you will see many opinions about trimming them. I am really not sure what to do. I looked at mine last night, as I received them yesterday, and they appear to be short enough to give clearance in the event that I backed up over something like a speed bump. I am not sure if I am not seeing the problem or if Chrysler changed them. In any case, my brother "scumball the wealthy one" (his professional name) is a Chrysler dealer and he says that if Chrysler makes them and Chrysler sells them and they create a problem that results in a fender being damaged then Chrysler has a warranty problem. I did not buy my car from him, his name is "scumball the wealthy one" and, therefore, maybe he is wrong. Not sure, but I hope to not have to find out. He says that if I do he will honor the the warranty....interesting! Enjoy your car. Scot |

Hi Scot, I agree with you on need for flaps. I do have them untrimmed and have had a problem getting pinched between the edge of the pothole and front tire ruining a fender and brackets. Good news is that DC is covering fender, flap and paint under warranty. Larry Lord had a great idea:..cut a slit in the flap above the bolt hole to the top of the flap. If you do catch it, the flap should pull away without ruining the fender and bracket ------------------ This message has been edited by MIKE GATLIN on 03-22-2001 at 02:22 PM |
