The 2001 Hot Rod Power Tour will be kicking off from Pontiac, MI (the site of POA Woodward Dream Cruise) this year and ending in San Bernadino, CA. Hot Rod Magazine has offered me space in Pontiac for all Prowlers who would like to come and help kick off this event. The kick-off date is Thursday, May 3. Anyone out there interested in getting together in Pontiac for this party? Please let me know ASAP. I need to let him know how much space I will need. Also, are there any Prowlers actually going on the tour? Do I remember Phil and Jane Horvath indicating they were? Where are you joining the tour? |

CJ, For the last 3 years the Power tour started in June. We were planning on being longhaulers. We can't make the May date because May 12 we need to be at our daughters graduation from UNM in Albuquerque, NM. Bummer, we even had our daughter change her wedding plans from June to August. So Starting in May this year was a double bummer for us. Hopefully we can make it next year. For those interested the agenda is available at http://www.emapusaevents.com/

FMITBT.......I believe you are talking about the Hot Rod Power Fest. The Hot Rod Power Tour is a cross country drive. There is no racing. Check out the Hot Rod Magazine site for info on both. This message has been edited by CJ on 03-21-2001 at 12:31 PM |

Mike, All I know right now is that the kick-off party is on Thursday, May 3 down at the Phoenix Center. That is right down the street from where the POA was set up for Dream Cruise. I am waiting on two calls.....one from Hot Rod Magazine regarding the space and one from DC regarding a special surprise!!!! As soon as I get further information, I will post it right away. Would be great to see you there. I think Carol will be coming, also. Was hoping to get some of the Michiganders there!! |

I can't make Pontiac or the tour but perhaps some of use Midwesteners can meet in Joliet along the way. Hey, Chicago area owners, how about that? ------------------ |
