Just returned from a fabulous trip to Death Valley with the CA gang. Had a wonderful time (despite the harassment) and once again, it was great to see all my old friends and to make new ones. Special thanks to Phil & Jane Horvath for all their efforts and for such great work. It isn't easy to organize events of this size and they always do a great job. So when is the next one???????? ------------------ |

Deb - keep the cat packed, and leave for Texas on thursday! You can take Gary S. with you to get his new cat. Bet he would pay for the gas and lodging.

All Jane and I can say is WOW, WE HAD A GREAT TIME. I need to move the speedometer so Jane can't see it like in the PT Cruiser. Every time we got to 100, I was pressured into slowing down to 85-95. With some of the dips we were able to get air on several occasions. We had 17 Cats, a Dodge Ram that Tony did a great job keeping up with the second group and John Schulz's Chrysler waiting back at the Hotel as Harry let John drive his Cat on Saturday. 6 of us stopped at Panamint Springs after a 45 mile driving exercise waiting for the rest of the group to arrive while 2 F-16's gave us a private air show. While we were checking them out they were checking us out. THANK YOU USMC. Thanks again for all who attended and hope you had as good a time as we did. Who wants to do this again next year??? ------------------ This message has been edited by CA Phil on 03-12-2001 at 12:43 PM |

Yes we all had a great time. It was alot of planning and organizing on Phil and Jane's but everything was perfect. On our last night Phil and I were talking about how everything ran so smoothly and the weather was even perfect. The roads were great to run on. Long stretches with virtually no autos. We got some great new hats. Isn't that right Arlene?? Are you wearing yours?? It was good to have Jack and Kathy Teal with us. It was their first long trip with the Prowler bunch. Had a wonderful time. George and Charlotte ------------------ |

Phil, very nice pics of Death Valley cruise. I just finished reviewing using MS IE browser. I could not get the pics to load with Netscape (which is my default browser)... More reasons to use IE, I guess... ------------------ |
