With the prediction of the storm of the century in the DC area my wife remembered something. BTY, we received about 1 inch out of the originally predicted 12 inches. She just remembered to tell me during the last snow storm, about 2 weeks ago, she saw a yellow Prowler playing on the snow on Gallows road in Annandale Virginia.

Anyone know who the brave person was??? How does the cat handle in the snow, and how much work did it take to clean her up??

My cat is starting to stir especially since the brake light on my truck just went on today

Had mine in a snowstorm on Vail pass a month ago while taking it to Dean for my nitrous install (almost done) and it handled fine. Of course I slowed to about 50-55 and took it easy but it seem to be alright. It felt more like I was plowing through the snow rather than driving as the tires seem road on top of the snow. I'd love to try some donuts but on I-70 it didn't seem like a good idea. BTW Dean washed the outside of the car for me but I'm sure when I get it back it will take me an entire weekend to clean the underside. Ahhhhhhhhhh the joys of owning a cat.

No, Marc, I-70 would not have been a good place to try that, especially in the tunnel!!!!! LOL!

The tunnel was dry, but we ran into light snow in Silverthorne and a snowstorm on Vail pass. The road report at 6:00am said dry to Utah line. I called it again while driving in the storm and it still said dry to Utah! Somebody has got to pay!!!! As soon as I reached west Vail it quit snowing and then was dry to Utah. Guess they forgot about that 10 miles over the pass. Wish I would have had a camera.

That area is famous for sudden snowstorms, as I am sure you know!! One Fall, when we lived out there, we went for a Sunday drive. Was coming back down into Denver via I-70 and right at Silverthorne, there was a horrendous snowstorm. They shut down the tunnel, so we were able to get off at the exit. Found a condo to rent for the night! Lots of people ended up sleeping in their cars on the freeway. They didn't open the tunnel till the next morning. They had no idea snow was on it's way!!!!

Ahhhhhhhh, life in the Rockies!!! I MISS IT!!!!
