Gateway to a Cure raffled off a 2000 silver Prowler on Valentines Day. They were selling 1000 tickets at 50.00 each. I bought 2 but did not win Seems the woman who did win can not afford to pay the taxes and wants to sell it for 40K. Sounds like a good deal if anyone is interested. Please contact:

I guess people don't realize when they enter a contest to win a car they are going to have to pay the taxes. Seems to me if she can't accept the prize immediately that it would go to the runner up. That's the way they usually work.

Sounds like a great solution to me.....Maybe I would be next. Pretty stupid to pay 50.00 bucks for a ticket if you can't afford to win! Maybe she should donate the car back, take the tax break and they could raffle it off again

I agree Ken G. And Rich. It should go to runner up. I bought one of those tickets also. I'd figure out how to pay the taxes SOMEHOW.

This situation reminds me of the lower income people, who can't afford to, but, spend half their paycheck to play the powerball games. That is why gaming casinos know, there is a sucker for every seat. Give the car to the runnerup, and set a good example.
