Funny thing about life....this last Christmas I got some dress clothes as a gift, EVERYONE that knows me NEVER sees me dressed that way...I wear jeans shorts and car t-shirts year round, never change regardless of the weather....anyway, I asked why the Garanimals(dress clothes)...well it seems that my wife has noticed in the last year how many times I have had to attend a funeral...I have been to more funerals in the last 2 years than my entire life time....well, once again last Friday I had to attend another funeral for a friend and I had a lot of time to think while waiting in the procession and such....seems like he worked till the last day they would let him in the plant and he regrettfully retired...a few months later he finds out he has terminal cancer.....never took time for the fun in life, never had time for the toys, always had time for work, rarely had time for his family which was the biggest shame of all...I am sitting in the funeral procession in a Prowler and all at once things kinda shot into perspective more clearly than ever before, how lucky I am, how stupid people can be over such silly things in life, how great it is to just be alive again today...I have lost several friends in the last 3 months that didn't seem to have the fun in life they should have...too busy, too much overtime etc....just take it easy everyday and try to do something FUN, regardless how small or stupid it may seem...JUST HAVE FUN TODAY....enjoy your kids and family, don't sweat the small things in life and enjoy what we have....life is fleeting, time is of the essence...enjoy

>> A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items
>>in
>> front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large
>> empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks
>> about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was
>> full? They agreed that it was.
>>
>> So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them
>> into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course,

>> students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
>>
>> The students laughed. The professor picked up a box of sand and

>>your
>> job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else. The

>> just sand."

You don't have to convince me....I've already subscribed
to all the princples that was mentioned. I used to be a
workaholic, 70+ hours a week, hadn't had a vacation in a
decade, then I finally realized my children were growing up so fast that if I didn't spend more time with them now, I
may never get a chance to do so. Now, I have more fun, eat
more ice cream, see more sunrises, climb more mountains and
do as much as I can before the Lord calls me home.

I never heard the one about the rocks etc....very good...will remember that always....
I always try to do something fun EVERYDAY, regardless how small and insignificant it may seem to others, as long as I have that minute to enjoy......
