Hi Folks..... Planning to buy 2 garage lifts, from the vendor cytech (see vendor link page from this site). Who else needs a lift? Mike K. is nice enough to inquire about a group discount. Let us know, who all wants a garage lift or two or three. |

As I was walking today I was thinking about a lift. I'd have to redo my garage roof inside, but could make it work. I think I would want a lift that would pick up the car from the chassis so wheel, tire , brake work could be done easily. ------------------ |

I'm looking now, so I'm ready. Not sure $3,100 is any big deal though. Shoot for $2,500 delivered--I think it's reasonable in volume. If cyteck won't deals let's try the other vendors. I kind of like the Perfect Park 7000 from Lifts Unlimited (retail $3,095 delivered). www.liftsunlimited.com ------------------ |

I have a Cytech lift and love it, Yes, one that picks up from the frame is better for wheel off work, but how often does one need to remove the wheels, and if you are wanting to park under it I would not suggest a frame lift. For the golf cart, if it has a top on it I doubt it will fit under it. My Goldwing will not go under mine. I do have the extra tall windshield on it. They recommend min. of 10' ceiling height for the lift. I have in area with 14' clearance so this is not the problem. Several companies sell lifts, and you might find some cheaper, but I think the quality and design on the Cytech lift is very good. Anyone thinking of a lift. Cytech will customize to meet your needs. One suggestion would be to have stops equally spaced from the top to bottom. The way they built them there is one stop about 15" off the floor and then about 2' before the next one then every 6~8". For cleaning your car, the stops in between would be nice. Standard lift is 13'long, If you want to put full size extended cab truck on it it will not fit. They have 14'long also. There are other options. Evaluate your needs before you order so you will be happy with it. I wish I had known about the 14' model before I got mine. I got longer approach ramps, same as they use for viper. I think good idea but they are heavier. They also make them in aluminum to be easier to handle. If you have any questions e mail me or call (317) 894-0827 before 9pm eastern standard time ------------------ |

Like Larry, I too have a Cytech lift and WOULD NOT purchase anything BUT! DO shop around and don't just focus on price. After all, you are parking valuables above AND below this thing ... skimp on price, maybe end up with an unintentional low rider ... We will be moving in July-August and I will be needing a 2nd lift then -- so, YES, I could be considered a volume participant if the deal is right and includes delivery AND set-up (they did this for me on the one I have as they were going through Chicago on their way to Corvette's of Carlisle). I have 9'8" in my garage and have a '93 Vette convertible on top and the Prowler underneith ... perfect clearance for both. Top car is not on top stop, making new garage at new house able to accomodate this additional distance, but not that important. Also, you have to re-run your garage door so that is rises higher and hugs the ceiling to clear the car when the lift is up ... fyi! Mike K. ... do your thing buddy and talk to Alvin or one of the fine owners there about a POA door to door set up and delivery deal ... count me in ... again! ------------------ |
