I just wanted to get everyones feedback on this. I have a 2001 Orange Prowler and its a great car. I know that the car is limited production and that some things you just learn to live with. But i have a couple things i was just wondering if it was worth taking it back to the dealership for:

1. When i wash my car both front headlights will fog over inside the lamp and will eventually clear up after some driving.

2. Where the convertible top meets the decklid...i find it very hard to shut it. I have to actually slam it to shut it. Should it be this hard? Ive tried it with the front latches latched and unlatched...but still the same thing. Do you think i need an adjusment?

3. Im getting a creaking noise from the center of the dash coming from the inside. This happened after going to the damn inspection station and they tested my suspension with the shaking machine. Probably rattle something loose.

Also, i have a Chrysler 5yr 75k mile warranty and i was just wondering if this would still be in effect if i put in the rear end gears, cold air intake, and took my bumpers off. Get back to me everyone and thanks in advance.

Jason, yes, have these fixed under your warranty. I suggest you contact Larry Lord about that dash squeaking.

In response to your questions ... the headlight fogging has had a "fix" I think ... although one of mine tends to do it slightly and then, as you said, clears ... no biggie.

The rear top latching will be tight for a month or so ... rather tight than loose. Per owners manual, latch rear first and then fronts in order to avoid denting or curving the aluminum rear deck lid.

The creakingnoise int he center dash .... unless Larry, his royal majesty, Lord has a solution ... live with it and turn the stereo up! I mentioned it at CAAP I and one of the enginers took my dash off in the parking lot, poked at a few things and put it back on. Squeek is still there along with a fingerprint now on the back side of the speedo glass!!! Arrrghhhhhh!!

I am buying an extended warranty for a grand from Laddie's guy in LA. Hip hip hurray for Laddie ... I owe ya lunch next time we go for a ride in sunny New Orleans, buddy!

I never hear the sqeak in my dash the stereo is always blasting.

I would never slam the rear of the top, lower it down and apply pressure to the top over the latch area with the palm of your hand or hands.

I never squirt water around the headlights, just be a little more careful.

I, too, had that dash squeek. If it's a high frequency noise, it's the plastic gauge window rubbing against the dash housing. I took a tiny piece of toothpick and wedged it between the bottom of the gauge window and the surround. It worked and it's hidden from view.

If you want to try a single drop of silicone might just lube the sound away.

I had to have that plastic piece replaced on the orange.

Just a word to Ray. The top piece of the dash, that includes the body colored part that houses the glass that covers the guages is easily removed (just pull it out, there are clips that attach into the main dash). Pull the thing off and clean that fingerprint!
