I'm still investigating this, but do I need to be concerned that a dealer may have sold me my '99 red without telling me that the frame had been replaced under the recall? What disclosures should I have expected to have been made (if any)?

Don't know & can't help whether or not this is a legal issue.

However, the two remanufactured Prowlers (frame replaced) that I saw in person had an additional sticker on the window that said re-manufactured. They were bought at auction by the dealer. They were in his showroom with these stickers on the windshield when I saw them last summer.

I don't think they put a new frame in they take the car and crush it and give you a new one, any dealer should be able to run your vin number and tell you if it is a recall car.

I did when I bought my used 99, no problem.

This is what I think I know about the frame recall.
If the car never left the factory and had a bad frame then it was not part of the recall. What DC did was to replace the frame then sell it as used with a disclamer that they had replaced the frame. But if a DC dealer bought the car then sold it at auction to another dealer that new dealer would not have to disclose the info about the frame replacement. If you check the vin# through DC it will not show up as a recalled car, because it was never recalled. (DC never shipped the car to the orginal dealer so it is not recalled) I know this because my red 2000 had the frame replaced. I ony know this because I was very determinded to know the truth from the DC dealer I bought the car from.To the credit of my DC dealer they did fess up about the frame replacement before I bought the car. When they ran my vin# it did not show up as a recalled car. CJ or anyone else who knows different please let me know.
PS Buy the way I'am very happy with my car

Chrysler has a policy that any vehicle repaired outside of the factory is fully disclosed with regard to the repair. Chrysler relies upon the ultimate seller to disclose the repair to the purchaser. The Prowlers with affected frames were repaired and ultimately re-sold. For example, last week, Bob was involved in a 5 car crash with his brand new Durango (company car). He was stopped at a light and someone 3 cars back hit the car in front of him so hard it cause the next 4 cars in front of him to run into each other. There was only damage to his bumper, which will have to be replaced. Eventually, when the car is sold at auction, there will be a disclaimer on the damage when it sold to and by a dealer.

ProwlerDawg......If you can email me the last 8 digits of the VIN#, we will check on the car for you.
