DEAR PROWLER ENTHUSIASTS!

I WOULD LIKE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT I LOVE POWER AND SPEED.

THERE ARE SOME PROJECTS I HAVE EMBARKED ON THAT HAVE VIOLATED MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED OPERATING PARAMETERS ON MY PROWLER SITE.

PLEASE DO NOT BASE MY CRAZINESS BY BLAMING THE MANUFACTURER. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN YOU GO TO prowlerexcitement.com ... YOU ARE GOING TO A PLACE THAT LOVES EXPERIMENTATION AND KNOWINGLY VIOLATES THE RULES HERE AND THERE. I HOLD MYSELF RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE THINGS AND NOT THE MANUFACTURER.

I WOULD HATE TO BE THE ONE THAT STOPS THE FUN FOR SOME OF THESE MODS THAT ARE BEING SOLD FOR US ENTHUSIASTS. I WANT TO ENJOY EVERYTHING THAT IS OFFERED FOR MY CAT AND NOT HURT THE SALES OF THESE MODS.

JUST BECAUSE IT WENT BAD FOR ME DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL GO BAD FOR YOU! IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES, THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!

THIS HEATING ISSUE ON MY CAT?

I ONLY REPORT MY OPINIONS AND OBSERVATIONS FROM AN AMATEUR STANDPOINT AND NO REAL HARD CORE DATA SHEETS TO BACK UP WHY.

THE HEATING ISSUE NEEDS TO BE DONE SYSTEMATICALLY AND CLEARLY UNDERSTAND WHY MY CAT GOT HOT WHEN IT DID.

FEEDBACK ON THIS AWESOME CHAT BOARD, REPORTS NO OTHER SUPERCHARGED CAT GETTING HOT.

I ASK MYSELF WHY IS THIS? WHAT COULD I BE DOING WRONG? SO, THIS TELLS ME THAT IT IS ONLY SPECIFIC TO ME AND NO ONE ELSE.

PLEASE AND I DO MEAN PLEASE!! CONTINUE THE MODS AND LOOK UPON MY SITE AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO SEE AT TIMES SOME CRAZINESS.

MY INTENTIONS FOR MY SITE ARE NOT TO HURT ANYONE BUT TO UPLIFT AND ENJOY LIFE.

IF AFTER MARKET SALES HAVE BEEN HURT DUE TO MY SITE... PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIE AND WERE NOT MY INTENTIONS!!

I'M JUST A GUY THAT IS HAVING A GREAT TIME WITH MY PROWLER. EVERYONE KNOWS YOU CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE. THIS IS WHY GOD MADE US UNIQUE. IT WOULD BE AN AWEFULL PLACE TO LIVE IF EVERYONE WAS LIKE ME...

I JUST FELT I NEEDED TO VENT THIS OUT ON THIS MASS WORLD OF THE INTERNET.

SINCERELY,

Dan Peña from prowlerexcitement.com

Dan, I talked to a few o the boys in the know and they said some peoples radiators were not properly "burbed" and if there are air bubbles in them, THEN they over heat, even with a super charger... maybe this was why? Keep up getting out the good word!

Hey, Dan - I'm not sure what that was all about, but it's your car and you can do what you want to it. As long as you understand the warranty issues. It seems a long time ago there was a discussion about vendors and vetoing or not vetoing their products. We need all information and opinions....good and bad. That way, we as adults, can make our own choices for our own cat!!! Imagine that!!

Keep on Prowlin' and keep on modifying!!!

Just thought I would offer a little insight why Dan made this post. He and I had a discussion today over an issue of a smaller pulley for his supercharger. He really wants to make more power with his Prowler. While the supercharger can produce more boost, I do not know how much more the stock components can handle.

I can understand Dan's quest for more power because I am a horsepower junky myself. As an enthusiast I want to support Dan's passion. As the President of Paxton I sometimes have to rely on my reasonable side. I do not want anyone to hurt his or her car in any way. Dan says that he does not care and that he would take the responsibility if anything happened.

I tried to explain that no matter how much he said that the damage was his fault a negative association would be made with the Paxton supercharger system. As an example I used the issue of the negative association with an overheating problem. I think this post was Dan’s good-hearted attempt to try to look out for Paxton.

Just a note on the cooling issue: I have reviewed several posts and talked to a several individuals about overheating issues. As far as I can tell there are 6 people that had overheating issues. 2 vehicles were supercharged and 4 vehicles were not. 4 of the vehicles had aftermarket grills and 2 had stock grills. The vehicle with the stock grill and no supercharger turned out to be an issue of air in the cooling system. Dan’s is the only supercharged Prowler with a stock grill and he indicated that the vehicle only ran hot when he was pushing it up hills on warm days. The other four cars all have smaller aftermarket grills and in some cases turn signals in the grill. We have one in our shop right now. The airflow area has been dramatically reduced. Our Prowler has never run hot.

Dan and I discussed the heating issues. We also discussed my goal to make sure everyone (including me) kept having fun with this cool car. Dan is still pushing to get the increased boost level and my HP junky side is beginning to weaken. I just want to state for the record that I do not recommend running 10 psi on a stock engine.

Dan-via con dios

David-let him smoke it if he wants! There's cars out there with your blowers and NOS. Dan's just running the blower-must be a little more left! The reason stuff doesn't get made for our cars is because noone wants to waste a motor. Here's a chance to test and see what's up. Remember-If enough is good, more is better!

Ahhhhh,, A new chapter opens

David is right about the smaller grills and turn signals behind it. I am running that configuration now although chromed stock grill will be installed upon return from body shop.

I think I can say I understand everyone's point of view on this matter.

It was good to see that it was done in a tasteful manner, with respect to the other person.

If they are running a supercharger and NOS I can always blame it on the NOS (ha ha)! Maybe I do not want anyone having more power than our Prowler.
