Roy, go to the Prowler's friends scrapbook on the main page and look at the different pictures or look at the pictures from GC (Grand Canyon) and you can see a variety of grills. Some of the guys bought an extra stock grill and had them chromed. Some of them were not totally thrilled with the results, however. This was discussed at length 3 or 4 months ago. I presume someone will bring that up to the top for you. Go to the Technical q & A section. someone just posted about a poor chrome job. Welcome to the site. I have a chrome stock grill. I bought an extra grill and sent it to Custom Coating in Tallahassee, Fl. at the time mine was done it was $300 to have it chromed and 6~8 weeks. The last I heard it is now $400 and up to 12 weeks to get it done. I would like for the fin under the upper fin polished alittle better, but the longer I look at it the less I notice this area. All the exposed edges are a very high polished finish. I have seen 3 different aftermarket grills and if I were to do it again I would still have custom coating do another grill for me. Of the aftermarket I would choose the Carlini grill with the body color fins as Gary C has in his red cat. I look at pictures of my car with the stock yellow grill and then the chrome and it changes the look a great deal with this modification. I also have chromed my exterior door handles. ------------------ |
