Hey now, The Danbury Mint, 47 Richards Ave.,Norwalk, CT., 06857. I don't have their phone number but in their "Rods & Customs" collection, they have a prowler that is a perfect replica. Comes in Prowler Purple only and with aluminum wheels. I like mine.... |

Revells 97 model with trailer is by far better than any other plastic model I've come across. There are really only 3 plastic models availible of our cars out there. One is a snap together the other is OK but doesn't have the detail as the Revell. The model is still availible out there I have seen it in several hobby stores and on the various on line auction sites. It does need to be painted to make it look more realistic, but having search long and hard for sifferent models this is the best one I've come across. ------------------ |

OH Bob, Look again. If you are counting Prowler models you put together I have Revell with trailer, AMT with trailer, AMT snap together and 2 different Testors metal body kits that I can find right now. On the die cast the Eagles Race is about the best I have for looks quality. Most all mine are still in the package they came in. I have between 175 and 200 models of the Prowler in all colors and sizes. My newest one is made by road champs and is cops series. It is a black cat with white top and has red lights in with the headlights. We were talking yesterday I need to inventory my cars so I will know what I have. So many cars so little time. ------------------ |

I was going to vote for Victoria's Secret but then you narrowed down the choices, so I won't even mention it. |

OH Larry, Of all the models you mention only THREE are PLASTIC models. I too have both the testors metal body models but they lack the detail and the effort of assembly of a plastic model. I agree the Eagle has a great 1/43 die cast that is very good and they even have it in a great color, Silver. A very rare find. I wasn't considering all the other jokey models out there like the Tweety bird etc... I was refering to realistic get some glue and paint type models ------------------ |

Bob, You really build them. A friend of mine when he was in college ~`76 ~ started to build a `56 chevy. He got it painted. When I got laid off from Chrysler in `80 I told him I'll finish it. I got the motor assembled and the trim painted. It is still in the box. Nothing else done. My daughter wanted to help put together one of the Prowler models a few years back. I don't think it got as far along as the `56. After spending so much time as a child building models I just cannot sit down and do it now. I collect them but do not build anymore. I do have a full scale `67 Dart GT convertible that is in the process of being built. I have been told I will NEVER get it back together but if I could build model cars for 15 years surely I can put one simple car back together, what is the difference, size of the TOYS hehehe ------------------ |

Larry, Winter in Cleveland can be long. It gives me something to do on those cold winter evenings. Woopie with the wife doesn't last that long. Got the rest of the evening to keep myself occupied. Really just do it in the winter months for something to do. Build the models that is. Woopie all year long. ------------------ |
