OK the table is clear and the dishes clean and put away. I've had my nap and ready for dessert. Checked out the paper for the BIGGEST shopping day of the year. I didn't see anything I couldn't live without on sale for tomorrow so I do not plan on the early to rise just to stand in line. Happy Holidays to all Larry |

CJ - Whoa girl, its still November. Did you start right after Woodward cruise? Sondra wanted me to put up outdoor X-mas lights this weekend - I said maybe by Dec 10th, when I start my shopping. I LOVE to fight the crowds, spend hours looking for parking spot at the malls, and standing in long lines to get checked out! Nothing better than spending your money while being aggravated - the American male way to do it! You will have to write a book: Christmas shopping 98% DONE by Thanksgiving! It will be a best seller! I wish I was that organized like you. PS - may even get the tree up by Dec. 20th - I HOPE. |

Forgot to mention: Always mail gifts at the last minute, so I have to pay triple costs for overnight shipping charges. I'm getting smarter this year, instead of using Santa and those slow, tired reindeer, I'm hiring the services of that FAST FLYING Prowlerman Air Borne Services! |

You are sick Suncat........ Those are the things I hate......! Actually, I started right after GC!!! I love Christmas and really get into it. My AF son will be home for Christmas this year, arriving on Dec. 14. I wanted to be sure to have everything done before then so that I have plenty of stress-free time to spend with him. I love decorating the house, etc. and now that I am not working I have lots of time to get it done early without stressing out. I ALWAYS have most of my shopping done by Thanksgiving. I love the Christmas atmosphere, so I generally leave everything up until the end of January, so I have plenty of time to enjoy it!!! I was born organized (people tell me I am the most organized person they know). Sometimes that can be a curse, though! The only thing I will do closer to Christmas is my cookie baking! We have a special day that the grandkids and my daughter-in-law join me for a cookie baking session. We have a blast and it has become a tradition. RE: Prowlerman Airborne Services.....does he guarantee on time delivery???????

You know, coolhemi, now that you mention it, I haven't seen one either. Will check on it, though, and will keep my eyes open. |

Coolhemi - you are in luck! Give me a day or two, and I'll get the name of company to order it from. 1/18th silver that I put in a case, sits atop big screen, and is a well done unit. ------------------ |

While you all are out there looking for die cast models, I need 4 models to complete my set of 1997 Matchbox Prowlers distributed by White Rose Collectibles. I need the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates. They are in a silver box. Let me know if you stumble on to them. They made one for each team. Thanks. |

I pay cash for everything, that way I never get bills in the mail. When I ordered KY Speedway tickets (by Mail ONLY) I had to use a credit card. Put it on Discovery and they called twice to inform me someone was trying to use my card at a racetrack. I had had it for 5 yrs. and never used it so they knew it was stolen. Unfortunately, the tickets were assigned by date of postmark. What a mess that was. We finally got it all worked out and had excellent seats. I don't like to pay interest or pay for things that are already used up. |

Ed - save that Discover Card. Ever try to rent a car without a credit card and pay cash? Not going to happen. It pays to Discover. I never pay interest, pay in full, and get a check back every year. We go out for a nice dinner on Discover every year. |

That is exactly why I finally got a VISA. They wouldn't rent a car to me in San Francisco because I didn't have a credit card. I got one and the next time I went to rent a car, in Colo Springs, they told me my driver's license was expired. It was, so I watched the luggage while my wife rented the car. Made me feel good all over, just like you are now. Sandy and I got Discover cars at a concert. If you signed up they gave you a free CD and they had two different CD's so I signed up so she could have both versions. You are exactly right about needing one to rent a car, though. I just pay cash when I bring it back. |
