One more thing, when you tied the car down make sure the car in Neutral with the parking brake on. Then cinch the car down front and rear, release the parking brake, make sure she is tied in snuggly, put the car into park and set the brake. The reason for all this is to make sure there is no load on the driveline or tranny. Hope this makes sense. |

Here's another tie down option that Laddie Roussel uses: http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000045.html I have heard from a number of people that the criss-cross procedure is better because it helps to keep the car from moving sideways. |

Gary good point on the tranny. After 6000 miles of towing the Kat I am still a firm believer in locking the Kat down via the tires. I won't go into all the specifics but if anyone cares to know email me anytime,I would be glad to help. ------------------ This message has been edited by Quicksilver on 10-30-2000 at 04:56 PM |
