OK ya'll, here goes. I just was asked if I could take my car to my kids' homecoming parade. I asked about who would ride, etc. MAYBE, a guy and a girl (I was thinking about just one person) They would ride up on the deck. Just went out to the garage to check. It seems like the deck is pretty strong. I sure would like to say yes. What do you think? jb

CJ had a grown adult on the deck of her car and showed no damage when we were at the Dream Cruise.

It is up to you, email CJ and see what her views are on these.

JB, I have been asked the same question this weekend. I am debating on the rear deck or front seat. I would really hate to bend or misalign it.

If you do it, provide a towel or sheet to sit on. Scrathes from metal on clothing, rings, watches, etc.
Just my opinion, no experience.

I have been in several Parades and Homecoming events with someone sitting on the
deck lid. I put a soft towel down to sit on and have not had any issues or problems to date..Knock on wood. Knock, Knock, Knock.

I've done a few parades. I used the seat once and all other times they sat on the deck lid.

One other thing. If they have pointed high heel shoes, I ask that they step in barefoot (or stocking foot). They've all been very sensitive, considerate and thankful for the chance to ride in the Prowler. I do use a large soft cotton towel for them to sit on and one for them to step on...

JB - check out this picture: http://www.prowleronline.com/woodward/laddie/image28.htm

Carol, the other Woodward Goddess, sat on the edge of my deck lid, bracing herself with the headrests and her feet on the passenger seat to take some of the weight off. I also had the Mayor of Pontiac in my car. He was over 6 feet tall and a big guy. He took off his shoes and braced himself with one foot on the floor and one on the seat to also take weight off. I had no problem and no dents.

Towel is a good idea. Good luck!
