I have read several of the postings re: to a noisy valve train. This past weekend mine began with 1500 miles. Has anyone gotten feed back from Chrysler? I changed the oil to Mobil 1 synthetic and put Mopar filter back on. |

Dave, a little rattle at start-up is no big thing. Does your's do it all the time? |

Butchcee, It appears to only happen when the car has been sitting for a few days. |

My is noisy at start up but just for a sec and not always. I would be aware of the problem as one of the guys had the lifters replaced under warranty. Betcha Chrysler changes the lifters or design on down the road! [This message has been edited by butchcee (edited 10-17-2000).] |

I'm the guy that had his lifters replaced under warranty. Mine started all of a sudden. After a long trip to Jacksonville,Fl., came back and Kat sat for a few days. Started Kat up and had permanent lifter noise. Dealer replaced the assemblies on both banks. These are lifter assemblies and come as one unit. One day job. Kat runs great and no noise at all.
