Anyone installed these? Do they cover the front and back of the headrest? Their web site says they snap in place over the back. Confusing. ------------------ |

They snap into the rear portion of the headrest, they only cover the rear section, Get chrome, they are the sharpest. ------------------ |

I saw pictures of GaryC's at Woodward so I ordered the chrome headrests from Carlini. I am happy I did. They look great and stay in place. |

NightProwler, when did you order them? I have e mailed 2 X and they said they were out of stock and waiting to get more chromed I followed Gary's car and the chrome looks like mini roll bars like the SCCA cars. ------------------ |

They should have the new batch of headrests in a week or two. |

So, they just snap in place...no adhesive or tape needed? The chrome does look good. |

Wildcat, I got the chrome headrests about a 6-8 weeks ago or so. To answer the other gentleman's question, yes they stay securely in place with no tape, adhesive or pins. Imagine you are looking at the back of my Prowler. With the Borla shiny tips, the chrome cover on the trans cooler, the chrome headrests and a polished aluminum back frame, my car really stands out especially when another car's headlights are aimed at the rear at night ie. NightProwler. This is especially so since I have a black trunk lid on the Woodward. |

For the red Prowler in the post above, the driver and passenger headrests are aligned evenly. But, on most other Prowlers I've seen, including mine, the headrest don't line up. Could someone please tell me how to get the driver and passenger side headrests to line up? |

Daryl. There is an adjustment on the drivers seat that should get them aligned... The large round lever next to you drivers seat. If you push it toward the rear of Kat, you can adjust the back of the drivers seat up & down. If you push this lever foward toward engine, you can adjust front of seat up & down... Not sure if this will get them perfectly alinged but it should be close... |

First of all welcome to The Prowleronline Board. We have the Largest Prowler Registry in the World, 320 Prowlers at this time and still growing daily. That is actually mine car, cool huh, the headrests are aligned perfect. When you have a 280lb driver and a 165lb passenger they will miss align a little. I have the seat forward a little so the Passenger seat doesn't ride on the CD changer and mine so it won't rub on the back of the panel. Somewhere in the owners manual it speaks of this rubbing problem. Not to worry after 16000 miles in 4.5 months, I have seen no problems with chaffing. I hope this answer with Laddies will help. Jump in any time Daryl. Again Welcome to Prowler On Line. ------------------ |

Also Carlini Parts are the finest. This is of course is my opinion. If you ever have a problem with their products they will happily make it right for you. I have had 0 problems. If you are interested with their parts, the Carlini ad is on the Home page. thanks again ------------------ [This message has been edited by Gary C (edited 10-13-2000).] |

On the 99's there are two levers, one lowers the seat if you are sitting in it but won't let the seat rise up again if you are sitting on it. You have to raise it while out of the car. I don't know if the 2000 are the same. |

Thanks for the help. I tried to lower the seat, but was only able to get the front half to go down. I was in a hurry and didn't play around with it too much. Right now the seat is all the way back, was thinking that if I slide the seat forward a little, the back portion of the seat might go down? |
