Since Sandy is cold when it is 70 degrees outside, she is currently on a mission to find insulated coveralls. The only thing we have locally is camouflage, it seems. She isn't going for that look, (and in fact is afraid I won't be able to see her, if we get separated.) It doesn't get cold enough here to have snowmobiles and she doesn't want a two piece ski suit. So I need you northerners to recommend a good brand of one piece coverall snowmobile suit and tell us where to find them. She needs to get it within a few weeks, so she has it for the Grand Canyon trip. We don't have any relatives up in the snow belt. So, we need HELP from you guys. |

Ed, maybe I can help you. Milwaukee area certainly qualifies for "up North". We have more retailers selling one-piece suits as you describe than I care to think about. I'll see if I can help you out. If you have a fax machine, I can fax you a local Sunday ad with lots of hunter-type suits. I'm not a hunter myself (perhaps I'm the only guy in Wisconsin who isn't) and don't own the gear but if you see an ad, I'll see if I can get to a local store to get one for you. You can mail me a check after we get the outfit. Sound good? |

When I had my Harley I rode in any weather, I found this underware that come in 3 thicknesses, The product is called Winter Silks, they have a web page, use them for the last 13 years and love them. |

Thanks for all your help, that quick. I knew I could depend on you guys. Sandy already has the silk long johns, she uses them while I am still wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and I am not kidding. She will be wearing them, jeans and the snowmobile suit, all at the same time. I will check out cabelas, too. Thanks again |

Ed - Cabelas has it all. This big time outfitter headquarted in Nebraska, has a brand new store in Dundee, Michigan (opened in august). New huge store is 20 minutes south of metro Detroit. Ed, if they don't have it, it isn't made. |

If you are looking for something to keep you warm on a bike, electric's are the only way to go. I have electric chaps, vests and gloves and they have kept me warm, or at least not freezing, while riding with the temperature in the single digits at night. There is also a company that makes electric coveralls. I don't have any of the contact information handy but will try to locate it if you are interested. |

Thanks everybody for all your help and suggestions. She found coveralls that actually fit and she is all set. All systems are go and we will be leaving in just 11 days. It has been in the low 20's the past few mornings in Flagstaff. BRRRR. |
