I got a very upsetting e-mail from David last night. He stated that he was tired of the personal attacks and was very HURT. He also stated that he is quitting. For all you people not in the DFW Group, David as done more in 3 months here, then anyone else has in the DFW area. I purchased my cat in May 2000. There was no place to meet with other owners. In June, Bob e-mailed me about a hot-rod show to see if we could find some other Prowler owners. David showed up and from that day on has taken the responsibility and dedication for organizing our group. If it wasn't for David we all would not be here doing events as Prowler owners. David has spent a lot of his personal money to help us out and has never asked for anything in return. 1. At the Frisco parade, the drivers were to get free lunch from the restaurant. When the time came they declined to do that. So David (out of his pocket) gave all the drivers $10.00. 2. At the TMS, David had a limousine bus(with a chauffeur)come to the event for chaffing us to and from places. He provided drinks, an air condition place to sit and relax. He had catered Bar-B-Qe at the track for all the people,(Out of his pocket). 3. We did not have shirts to wear that had a Prowler on it. Instead of ordering and waiting 8 - 12 weeks, David had got some shirts made in a week. The price of the shirts was what it cost him. Now we can proudly wear a Prowler shirt to an event. If it wasn't for David, we would still be waiting for shirts. These are just some of the things David has done for our group and other Prowler owners out of the kindness of his heart. David has spend MANY hours, along with Paul and Bob to organize events for the rest of us to enjoy. I think EVERYONE needs to give David an apology and thank him for EVERYTHING he has done to bring all of us Prowler owners together. David THANKS for everything and PLEASE don't quit. David, the internet can be a very cold place and people can and will say things that they would never say to ones face. There are very few chat rooms that can't be catagorized as hate rooms no matter what the subject. 80% of people that read these won't post cause they don't want to get flamed or receive hate mail. It happens alot. Don't let a vocal immature minority get you down. |

I agree totally with Debbie regarding David's efforts. He has worked tirelessly to make this event come true. He also did the lion's share of the work at the TMS event a few weeks ago (a children's charity event.) I can't imagine anyone any better at what he does. He helped me well prior to my Prowler purchase- lots of advice, questions, and concerns answered. My first two events in this organization (TMS and Patrick's cruise)involve helping children. This is a worthwhile organization with caring people. I consider David a good friend- we all should. There is no hidden agenda here folks. A great group of very generous people-period. While I look forward to next weekend and pray for Patrick, I also pray for those who would cast a stone at anyone involved in this. Thanks David!! You are truly appreciated. jb ------------------ |

I seat in disbelief of what I have just read. After reading some of the acccusations to David in the morning, I sat down to write a response, but I felt maybe I should let it be. Boy was I wrong. In the short time I have known David, I could assure you there is no one that has dedicated as much time, effort and money to our Prowler experience. David has an enourmous passion for the Prowler and the people he has met in this board. I feel the same way, there is no better time that the ones we have had together enjoying our vehicles. I cannot believe the personal attacks directed towards David, I cannot believe we are still criticing him for his efforts and for providing shirts of all things. What is wrong with showing your pride. Iam extremely proud to be part of this association and I display it in all of my cars. I was going to offer some stickers for whoever wanted them but I do not if it is going to create anger; I do not want any reason to quit, especially during this wonderfull meeting. You know David, I hope you received my email this morning, and hope you can still find the time to be part of this wonderfull friendship you have created. Hope to see you all DFW/OK friends this coming saturday, especially David. Sincerely, ------------------ |

I was fortunate to meet David at the Texas Motor Speedway Prowler meet. A leader/organizer is a quality few posses. It is a shame that others can not appreciate all the energy and time it takes to put together events. I have read the posts and really do not understand what the fuss was over. I also realize that everyone can have their own interruption of most anything said, and I am aware that I do not know the whole story. But I do know that there are few in a group that are ready to take charge and get something done. Most will sit back and say they could do it better, but are all talk and no action. So what if there was a bit of promotion for the club he works so hard for. The end result is a happy child and father. Also a lot of happy Prowlers owners who got together for a fun day for a good cause. What more could you want? |

David, in your heart you know why you are doing what you are doing and so do most other people. From this end, thanks a lot. |
