Help! I changed my headlight bulbs to a different color and now condensation constantly forms on the inside of the headlight covers. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Thanks.

Saber - Welcome to the POA website. You came to the right place with your question. Go to the Technical questions and answers section from homepage. There, try CJ's post on Tech answers from Woodward / Prowler Assembly plant tour, and Paul's post on headlight condensation. Hope this area will answer your questions. Many Arizona owners have been getting free headlight replacement from DC dealers. Others who have had this problem can update you.

First of all Welcome to the Board.

The bulbs shouldn't make any difference at all, it has been a little humid these last couple of days should that might be your problem. I changed my bulbs and had no problem.

Also some Cat owners have been having the problem with their lenses after a cat washing. My SC400 did the same thing and all I did was put a 500 watt bulb 3or4 inches away from the lense and cooked it out. It takes a day or two.

Hope this helps.

Saber,

You might want to take the covers off again and check the gaskets. They sometimes don't seal properly when you install them. Or, it might just be the weather like Gary C said.

Gary C: I got your email and will reply in the future. I have just been very busy since I got back from woodward. I have not been ignoring you.

dude, had the same problem, its the gaskets like andrew said. They are not molded so the fit is not the best. You can tell by the impression made by the seal ridge of the headlight housing. You just got to make sure its laying even on the ridge...this should fix the problem. It did for me.

Saber- I have had the same problem in only my right lamp assembly. I got mine to fianlly dry up by leaving the small filler plug on top of the assembly under the hood off for about 2 weeks and then set the Kat in the sun with hood up for a day or so. I had a lot of water in mine, it started with condensation, but then it was about 5-6 tablespoons of water. It did go away though. The dealerships will warrant the assembly, but it is a problem that DC is aware of, but have not posted a fix for yet. I hope this helps. Also, welcome to the POA/ProwlerOnline.com I hope you enjoy the sight and we hear from you often.
