Only ~ 300 of the over 7500 Prowler Owners has registered with us. There are a lot of people missing out on the fun etc. What can we do to find them? Have you flagged down a Prowler lately ?
Followed one home ?
How fast can we double our numbers?

Exactly Tony.
Right on target!

My sugesstion is to always have some ProwlerOnline business cards handy to either hand out or leave on windshields.

The cards that I bought for the Woodward Cruise cost $23.00 for 500. Shipping will add another $5.00 and the artwork is onfile at C&D Typesetting in Riverside, CA. Call Diane Skillman at 909-353-9772 if you wish to order.

When making posts and doing cruises, we need to remember that we are just a small faction of the Prowler Owners. There are many people that are hungry for information and friendships much like what we have found here. Maybe it's time to really put a push into a recuitment drive.

I don't believe DC or state MVD are going to give out people's names and addresses. How about this idea - any time we go into dealers for service or parts, ask finance mgr or documentation person if they have a list of Prowler owners from their dealerships. Tell them we want to get in contact with owners to do fun runs, etc. to promote the Prowler and DC. If they will not give phone numbers ( I can understand that ) just their address will be a start. Larry Lord's idea with the business card is also good. At auto shows I always seek out Prowler people and tell them about POA. One couple from Glendale, Az didn't want to give me their first names, I persisted and got that, but no way they would give last name out. Maybe in the witness protection program? And I thought Prowler owners are extroverts!

I imagine they are having a great time with their cars, when they do drive them.

What can we do to find them?
Just through friends or casual meetings is probably the best way.

Have you flagged down a Prowler lately ?
Why? Just case they have a car doen't mean they want to be in a club with it. I've owned 3 Porsche's and never had any desire to join a porsche club. I also never joined the PPC.

Followed one home ?
I'd say don't do that. Especially in states with concealed permits....enough said.

How fast can we double our numbers?
Do the numbers really matter? Isn't the friendship and fun what it's about? Would anyone be happier with 500 members versus 300? I tend to not like large crowds myself. If given the option of going to a party with 1000 prowler owners versus meeting with 3-4 of them, I'd choose the smaller setting every time.
That's just my views on this. Enjoy.

Just a thought but I bought my Cat for the pure enjoyment of it. I am not an upgrader, or a mechanic, etc. I only have one "neat car". ETC, ETC.

It could be that many of the "un-registered" are like me. They might think "clubs" are for the aficionado or the hard-core "hot-rodder". I of course found that this is so, but I also found out that everyone if nice, friendly, helpful, informative, fun, and welcoming!!!!

Perhaps if we do any "outreach" we should stress that the club also promotes cruises, local/regional get togethers, picnics, charitable fund raisers, etc. etc.

Just my thoughts!
Happy "Catin'Around!"

Hey Larry,

Could you post a image of the cards you are talking about. I never got to see them and might be interested in buying some.

Thanks

You can't get all the Prolwer owners because, surely there are a number of owners who don't own computers!! And some percentage of those that do own computers are not online. That could explain quite a bit about getting visibility of POA to other Prowler owners.

There is only about a 60% saturation in U.S./Canada on computer ownership. I don't know the percentages of those with computers who are not online, particularly regular late-night junkies who make up this forum. My guess is that the number of owners who don't make it all the way up to internet participation may be quite high. You've got to have 1. A computer, 2. An ISP, 3. An interest or curiosity in finding someone with Prowler interests on the web, 4. A routine that allows repeat visits to this site, etc.
The gap narrows pretty quickly with these factors figured in. Not everyone who drives a Prowler meets the remaining criteria necessary to get this far on the web.

CJ, I think you would qualify as a Junkie. Personally, I think you are trying to catch up to Gary on your total posts.

Andrew,

Send me a fax number and I'll fax you a copy or just call Diane and have her fax a proof with your name and info on it to you. There's no charge for the proof and if you like it you just sign it and give her your credit card number. You should have your cards in about a week.

I think a very important point is some how getting missed is that we are NOT A CLUB.
it was discussed at the very start of this site and we came with PROWLER OWNERS ASSOCIATION.with a big emphasis on the ASSOCIATION part.like cj has said most of us are devoted owners and thru this have build life time friendships. we do what we do for fun ,no fees to join everyone is welcome at my events you are not pressured to join and pay NO VALUE membership fees or you can't come back ,and the most important point no titles and it is not about money and that is why it has worked so well in a very short time.

just my two cents
