It is not too early to start making plans to attend the Daytona Turkey Rod Run over the Thanksgiving weekend. This is THE BIG ONE!!! I am suggesting you consider one of the area's Bed and Breakfast. One of the reasons I prefer staying at a Bed and Breakfast when I have my Cat along is for the personal parking they offer. I suggest that you directly contact one of the following Bed and Breakfast for additional information...
1. The Conquina Inn, email ConquinaBnB@aol.com or www.conquinainndaytonabeach.com
2. Live Oak Inn, no email/website, phone 800/881-4667
3. The Villa, email Jim@thevillabb.com or www.thevillabb.com
4. Clauser's Inn, email ClauserInn@otcon.com or www.ClauserInn.com
5. Little River Inn, email little-river-inn@juno.com or www.little-river-inn.com
6. Night Swan Intracoastal, email NightSwanB@aol.com or www.NightSwan.com
I have only stayed at the Night Swan and would recommend this one highly. All the above are very personal, 4 to 15 units, so timely planning is suggested. For additional options other than the above Bed and Breakfast, please contact "Superior Small Lodging" via Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau @ 904/255-0415 or www.daytonalodging.com. Remember, do this today and I look forward to seeing y'all there with your Cats for some prowlin' and fun, fun, fun. Continue checking the Prowler web sites for updates. This is THE BIG ONE... over 5,000 classic/muscle cars, cruisers and hot rods expected. Sincerely, Jay

Jay,

You can count on me being there. I will be vacationing in Pompano Beach the week prior and will extend our trip so we can attend. Will be staying with Johnny and Lynn Tribble. Johnny can't say enough good things about the Turkey Rod Run. Having our prowler shipped to Johnnys house so we can cruise in style. My wife Julie and I hope to see everyone there!

Hi! Just got a new prowler so pardon the uninformed question but, how do people get there Cats to these events? Do most drive or trailer them? I have a suburban so I can trailer. Any idea what they cost to rent!

The Dayton event sounds great! Going to check my calendar!

Carl,
I drive some and trailer some. Only trailered to indoor car shows so far.

As for renting a trailer, U haul rents trailers but I'm not sure of anyone else. I used a friends enclosed trailer before buying mine. If I were to travel long distance and in the winter were snow and ice could happen I would definately trailer.

If you think you would need a trailer a few times a year might be best to check into a new or newer used trailer to buy instead of renting. But then you get into the open or enclosed trailer and that goes on and on and on.

Drive... ship... trailer your Cat, just do it! This is great holiday weekend and you will really enjoy it. The Cracker Barrel restaurants (along the way) have an excellent Thanksgiving Day meal too... almost as good as home, maybe better as there is no cleaning up after the feast. See y'all there, Jay
