Hi Gary. Here's my report...

We got to run the Prowler & PT Cruiser on dragstrip… I have new personal best of 13.4 & 100mph in ¼ mile with Prowler (all my times were between 13.4 & 13.6). We also ran the PT Cruiser had a 18.7 & 72mph in ¼ mile. Beau, Chip & Gwen all made runs in the PT (18.7, 18.9, 19.0, 19.8 & 20.0).

On Sunday, there were open time trials from 10:00 am to noon. The Twin City Car Club racing began at noon for bragging rights for one year. There were four clubs articipating. River City Corvette Club, East Texas Corvette club, Mopar Magic & Muscle Car club. We only ran during the time trials and than headed back to south Louisiana around 12:30. It was a great day.

I had one race with a Viper GTS. I beat him for the first 330 feet and he beat me for the quarter mile with a 12.7 (12.696) versus my 13.4. He had a little spinning coming out of the blocks. Mark in Viper had a best of 12.2 that I saw on Sunday. But we turned some heads when people saw that Prowler going down that track and seeing the times. We had a lot of people looking under the hood. And, under the hood looks stock. Here a comparison of our times:

Timing Viper Laddie's Prowler
R/T .82 .69
60' 2.0 1.9
330' 5.5 5.5
1/8 mi 8.2 8.5
1000' 10.6 11.1
¼ mi 12.7 13.4

Before Mark (Viper) and I raced, he came up to my car in the staging lanes and said I have to have a picture of this. When have you seen a Viper, Prowler & PT Cruiser all in the staging lanes at a drag strip ( Beau was in the PT Crusier). Actually, Beau & I had one race and he beat me since I "Red lighted" on the start. All my runs yesterday were in the 13.4 to 13.6 range.

It was a blast and this is only with the Paxton Supercharger. I haven't decided if I want to make the next step and go Hybrid (NOS & Paxton) or gears. I know the Hybrid could put me in the low 12s to mid 12s based on Mike beating me by one full second at River City. Not sure what impact replacing the gears with the set from Prowler Pro would do… Once someone gets some experience with them, I'll have to decide and get ready for next Prowler shootout with Mike, Fred & Warren… laddie…

Laddie, I have some questions.

How hot was it compared to the last time you were with Mike K.?

Which VP Fuel did you run?

What was the fix of fuel 50/50?

How much quicker was the car than the last time?

Did the VP help, can you tell by the seat of your pants?

Last one, was there any other changes you did from this time and last time you took the car out to the strip?

Sorry, one more, in the picture of the PT, was It really necessary to warm up the tires that much? You are getting in the same class as Nyle, you wildman.

Gary.

Q1. It was not near as hot. low 80s yesterday vs 103+ with Mike K.

Q2. Used Sunoco 104 couldn't VP

Q3. Close to 50/50; +/- 10% I guess...

Q4. My quickest run last time was 13.6 and longest 14.5 with average around 14.0. This time all runs were between 13.4 & 13.6 with average just under 13.5. So, .5 second improvement. My MPH were only about 1 better this time. My 330' times were 5.6 vs 6.0 last time...

Q5. It's hard to tell. But, yes the Prowler did feel faster and I had my times were in a much narrower range this time... This may be attributed to the fuel (at least that is what someone told me)... Never spun the tires yesterday. In Texas we couldn't do anything to not spin the tires (had the runflats at 23 lbs)...

Q6. No changes since last time at track.

Q7. There's always a first time for everything...

Maybe someone can post some of the pics for me...
