I AM COMPUTER ILLITERATE BUT AM A NEW PROWLER
OWNER.I LIVE IN SOUTHERN CAL AND MY 2000 PROWLER GETS REALLY HOT WHEN THE AC IS ON AND THE OUTSIDE TEMP IS ONLY 95 TO 100 DEGREES. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO COOL THE CAR DOWN? MY PROWLER DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL IN HIGH HEAT BUT I JUST LOVE DRIVING THE CAR. THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CAR REACHES PAST THE 7/8TH MARK UNDER NORMAL OPERATION WHEN THE AC IS ON. THANK YOU.

Welcome to Prowleronline.com. Congratulations on your new Prowler. You don't seem computer illiterate to me! One suggestion, however. Refrain from typing your whole message in all caps. All caps indicates "yelling".

With regard to your heat problem, some of the guys might be able to give you their advice, and I will also forward this to our tech rep and try to get a resolution for you!

Look forward to you posting on our board. You will find everyone friendly, fun-loving, informative and helpful. We have formed many friendships through this site and hope that you will continue to share in our experiences!

Do you understand how to use this discussion forum? If not, email me by clicking on the envelope at the top of my post and I will be happy to help you out!!

Hi - Welcome to the site.
I recall reading a lot of posts regarding high engine temperature. Where I live we never see 95 deg (Birr, Ontario,Canada- pardon the pun).
The following post refers to the tech answers give to us by a DC engine after the Woodward cruise. One of the questions was regarding the engine temperature.
See http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000027.html

Also "Search" the discussion forums for the word - overheat - and you will find 5 or 6 other posts that talk about the problem. Search is at the top right of the screen as you read this message .

I hope these help.

I was in Irvine this past Saturday and Sunday with the S.M.O.G (Saleen Mustang Owners Group) car club and took my Prowler. My Saleen was in the shop getting modified for more ponies.

The weather was very hot and was forced to use the heater. I was cooking myself medium rare.

My tempearture was reaching 3/4's and was hating it. Can't wait till a bigger radiator comes around for the Prowler.

Later...
