There is a virus on the PPC Site. My Mcafee software alerted me while visiting the Classified/Dealer page. I have informed Nowell of this yesterday, however it is still there. I feel it is my duty to inform everyone of this potential risk to your computer and the security of your privacy, since this virus spreads itself by replicating email addresses. Hi Everyone, I would like to say thank you to Mike Krehel for bringing his virus alert to our attention. Nowell had informed me yesterday that Mike had reported this problem. I spoke to our site host once yesterday and once again today to discuss this issue. They have run several scans of our server, site it self and particularly the page Mike is detecting a problem on and have found there to be no virus detected. In addition we have several computers with both Norton & Mcafee virus software and have not been able to recreate Mikes alert and have had no other reports of this problem. We are not sure why Mikes software is detecting it and ours is not but as a precaution we have recreated the page in question, hopefully that will take care of the problem. As the original and largest Prowler organization we are always looking out for our members and as you can imagine we take this type of situation seriously. I went to the area in question last week, it was there, I went to the same area in question this afternoon, It was still there, I went to same area minutes ago, it is now GONE. Thank You |

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to update you on the virus alert Mike reported. Mike, Nowell and I spent some time on the phone this evening and have located the problem in the script and have corrected it. It was nice to see the two organizations working together. |
