Do a local search for "chroming" through your local phone companies internet page (if they have one), you can find it this way. If not there is a company some where in Florida, (Tallahasee ?) that other's have got their stuff chromed at. I myself am not into shipping my car parts, so I found a local company that I am in contact with to see what they can do for me. ------------------ |

I'm looking at the grill and the door handles, I didn't even ask them the question, because I don't want them to take it apart. So basically the answer is, "I don't know because my intentions from the get go are to do it my self." |

Custom Coating in Tallahassee did my grill & door handles. (triple chrome plating on plastic) The grill has 5 screws to remove less than 5 min. with #2 phillips. Door handles are alittle more difficult. I ordered new set, disassembled the lifts and sent them to be done with my grill. In the reassembly I had to grind the chrome on the arms to clear the opening (I would request not chroming the arms if I had another set chromed) and use 5/32" X 3/4" and 5/32" X 1 3/4" roll pins to replace stock rivets. I drilled the opening in the lift handles (NOT THE BASE OF THE HANDLES) to 11/64ths for free movement of lift. Anyone with basic abilities should be able to do this. DREMEL TOOL to grind the head off the rivets, a drill motor and bits, #2 phillips screwdriver, trim stick and putty knife. Small hands help to reach the rods on the door handles. If anyone is interested in how to remove the handles call or e mail me (317) 894-0827
