Being the natural rebel that I am I have one small question. I didn't post this to the PPC site because I know they monitor this site.

What does my PPC membership give me above a t-shirt and license plate holder??? I have found the information in their members only site to be good but mostly common sense or info all of us could get from the manufacturer directly. I think I could get the same info from the POA.

Living in Virginia I at least thought my VA director would contact me to at least say HI. I see other states having all kinds of get togethers but VA, MD, and DC are the badlands of prowling. Should I contact PPC about my States poor activities or maybe start a POA region for the mid-Atlantic states.

Are you listening Mike and Larry?????

Prowl on and GO HOKIES!!!!

VT,

For obvious reasons, I'll skip answering the first few questions that you asked.

Yes, definitely contact the PPC to see what they can or will do to help you. Also consider taking charge of your own destiny and organizing some events through the POA and the ProwlerOnline for the other lost souls in your area. The hardest thing is to get in touch with the other owners in your area. By using the registry you can contact some but the best way is to do it through networking and E-mailing anyone that you think may be interested. I do not limit the involvemnent to Prowler Owners only. Many of our events have other types of cars present and everyone seems to enjoy our events. We have had Cobras, Vipers, Oldsmobiles, PT Cruisers and many other cars at our events. In my opinion, Car people are car people, the more the merrier!

Another idea is to contact Mike Challis of the PT Cruiser Club to see if they have any events planned in your area. Mike has been especially helpful in having his directors invite Prowlers to all of their events and we do the same for them. This is all about having fun and getting the people and cars out onto the road for some great times.

If you are having problems with no events in your area,,,remember that everyone else in your area is having the same problem.
Bottom line,,,if you want a good time and some fun events,,,Make it happen! You guys back there have some beautiful country to cruise in.

If I can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to ask.

Jeff, You might have to take the initiative.
I live in Cocoa,Florida, but I grew up in Va. Petersburg to be exact.
Still have lots of High School friends in the area. Put on a nice event and you can probably count on me to visit.
Good Luck,

Frank

PS: To me there is only one group. That's the Prowler group.

Jeff: There are leaders, and there are followers. You sound like a leader to me. Phoenix is now four million people, with probably 20 to 30 cat owners, but only five or six are active on the web sites. You are going to have to pull em out of the woods! Start with weekend car shows in your area, and get any Viper, PT Cruizer, etc excited about taking a run or meeting for food someday. Stop or make contact with any Prowler you see. Use any free advertisting means available looking for Prowler owners. Check the POA owners Registry for nearby owners, and take the first step to contact them - I found Larry Lord's and Al Becker's cars to be bad, but they didn't bite me. Be aggressive and reach out and touch somebody new. The rewards will be great, and you will never look back at those SLOW days. Larry Salzman, Az-POA------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PS,Jeff-when your company expands more, as I know it will with you at the helm, spend your winters living in Tex.CA,or Az. Prowler country full time!

Davidn,

I re-read the entire thread you are referring to, and I do not think the members were referring to you. Someone had used that line in a post prior to yours. Posts after that most likely were just referring to the situation as a whole and not directed at you. I am sorry that you feel this way. You may want to e-mail those people and ask them to whom or what they were referring to.

VT,

I will check into what you are talking about and reply to you via e-mail. Feel free to contact me if you have any other problems.

Tom Kalski, PPC VP & Co-OHSD

P.S. Larry,Thanks for suggesting he inform us.

Thanks for the assistance Tom. And thanks to all others for the excellent advice.

I do know there are at three or four Prowlers in the DC area. Guess I'll have to track them down.

Davidn,
I am the one who wrote about people with expensive toys and that are still children.
That was a general statement and in no way was directed at you. I do not make personal attacks and if it was believed that the statement was directed to you, please accept my apologies. We seem to have two great clubs and my number one concern is Prowler fun.
if you want it is free and informal.the idea is to have fun and enjoy this great car.

thanks but really no apologies needed,i made that post because i thought it may help
everyone see things for a members point of view.i also do not want to attack anyone personally.
900 members X$59 that should be enough funds to do thing on time (just my opinion).
you are right on the money it as all about having fun and enjoying this car but also
you must take care of business as well.
this site free because someone is doing it for all the reasons!!!!!
you can tell by all the positive postings
