I was paging through a JC Whitney catalog today looking for the blue dots to put on my tail lights. The part number is 12vl3306u. They cost $4.99 for a pair. Does anyone know how they mount and are they easily removable? ------------------ |

Some of the blue dots that i have seen you have to drill a hole in your tail lite to install them. that way you get the true blue dot effect They look much brigter when they are mounted in a vertical tail lite. see ya. ------------------ |

I believe Nyle is right, drill hole slow and carefully. Had a neighbor who shattered a taillight lens. Larry |

Auto Zone has them in stock for about $5 or $6. They are plastic with a chrome bezel. Some one else said the JC Whitney ones were glass. I don't know that it matters since the lens is plastic. Replacement taillights are about $46, if I remember correctly. You can't remove blue dots and restore your lens. |
