Took my prowler to a chrysler dealer to get a flat fixed, went back 2 days later to pick up my car and the sales manager pulled me aside and preceded to tell me that when they were bringing my car in for the night they accidentally drove my car into a wall Tool box and now their oferring to fix the car but now that it has been hit I don't want it back I want them to get me a new one. I gave them a brand new prowler that was never in a accident and I will not accept anything less back. This is a nightmare. A word of advice try not to ever get a flat. Tony Luke Jr. |

Sorry to hear about your car. They probably had some bonehead drive it in that couldnt even drive a Yugo. Who's the dealer? Let everyone else know so that they don't suffer the same misfortune that you have. I'm not sure that they will give you a new car but it sure can't hurt to insist thats what you want. ------------------ |

How bad is the damage? Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I'd lay money on the fact that they didn't "accidentally" drive it into a wall tool box. More than likely were foolin' around in it! I'd be asking for a replacement and I'd be retaining a lawyer! |

Talked to my lawyer today and she asures me we have a clear cut case of negligence. I also found out today by the guy who does my body work that the car was hit twice not once. He said the frame looks twisted the bumbers were torn off the car both air bags deployed and the driver side door is pulled away from the body and the front of the car has been pushed in about 2 feet. And heres the best part after they told me they wreck my car I asked them for a loaner just for a day until I could get home and get my other car cause I was late for work they told me they would drive me home. I will keep you posted. |

Tony, Sounds like quite an accident. I would think driving in service department would be no more than 5~10mph. To deploy air bags, remove bumpers & damage frame sounds more like they let the CRASH DUMBIES test drive the car. Sorry to hear your car was damaged by the ones that are suppose to repair & maintain it to tip top condition. And to top it off not give you a loaner. Is this a 5 star dealer took it to for this service? Did you see the damaged box? Must have been made out of 1/4" steel plate. ------------------ AIRBRUSHING by CUSTOM PAINTING UNLIMITED CURRENT EXOTIC SPORTS : |

I'm with Dan, Tony. I try to avoid taking my cars to the dealers at all costs. When I have no choice but to take it to the dealer, I always stay with my car. I hope your lawyer can help you out on this one. It really sounds like they have done some major damage. I hope it all works out for you! ------------------ |

quote: Totalled? For a minor fender bender in a garage? And they said it was an accident. I've been in several accidents far worse then that, none my fault, and I can guarantee you, they don't give you a new car every time your car gets hit (no matter how new, I had a crash with a car that was 5 days old) |
