OK guys, enough of this malarkey, here’s the scoop:
Why would Carol and CJ try to persuade you not to go to CAAP and see the 2001 Prowler in production? Why would Carol and CJ try to talk you out of your opportunity to frolic with wild financial abandon in the CAAP store? Why would Carol and CJ try to keep you from touring MSX and perhaps getting a glimpse of the next color like we all did at previous MSX tours?
They sure do deserve brownie points for creativity of excuses i.e. bad roads, when we have already been there twice, and my all time favorite, fear of contaminating the paint on the prowlers at MSX. JEEZ, what a load
Why would they try to derail a visit to our most favorite places ever, CAAP/MSX, and deny us a once in a lifetime opportunity to be present at the unveiling of a new limited edition Prowler color combo as DC’s invited guests?
Why would anyone try to sabotage a huge PPC/DC event weekend by begging and insisting that people do the same thing, at the same place, with the same scenery, for 2 days in a row, when there is an open opportunity for everyone to do ALL THE EVENTS THEY CAN OR THAT ARE AVAILABLE?
I can assure you if Woodward is anything like CJ describes it (inching along in traffic) or Carol (dancing and singing in a restaurant parking lot), 1 day will be MORE than enough for most of us.
What is the problem with donating our tickets and meal for Friday back to the “charity” and going to CAAP, MSX, and the Black-T event??? PPC members get what they want, trips to CAAP and MSX, as well as one full day and night at the cruise. The “charity” can then sponsor a group of homeless children to a full day of activity and a meal!!! Or sell the Friday tickets for more PROFIT to the “charity”!!! It is a guaranteed win-win for all, and a great PPC event too. Why would a “charity” turn down the chance for GOOD PRESS and MORE MONEY???
Nowell personally offered for PPC to buy ALL the remaining (35 according to Carol) tickets at full price, so that more PPC members would have a chance to support the event. Nowell guaranteed Carol that the tickets would be re-sold at face value ($150.00). We were told that the “charity” Carol directs would “not allow” us to do this, nor could we display a PPC banner in our section of the parking lot. Nowell then said OK and made reservation for he and I, Lynn and Heidi, and our cats. Sounds to me like Carol is more concerned with absolute control over the event, revenge on us for “daring” to enhance the weekend, and her own personal prestige VS what best for PPC members.
Carol, you invited everybody even though you do not have enough tickets for us all. By your own admission, you chose to sell most of the parking to non-Prowlers… what to you expect the rest to do????? Seven states (>200) PPC members have been invited to the DC event, by DC, so even though you do not have parking for them, PPC will step up to make sure there are events for those coming to Detroit for the DC party. PPC will make sure those Prowlers without parking that are coming to the Friday PPC events and activities as well as the DC party will not feel left out by you and CJ because you opened your event to non-Prowlers before they could reserve a spot. PPC will also open its events to those members that have parking but choose to do the most with their time.
PPC wanted to have CAAP III at Woodward, as you and CJ have both admitted. The fact is we didn’t change our minds; Carol, after saying “no-problem”, could not deliver the promised parking. Carol said in no uncertain terms it was “impossible” it “couldn’t be done”. We made the decision to move the Nats to FL based SOLELY on Carol’s inability to obtain parking. Carol, you said the “charity” contacted you, but stated that you are on the board of directors of this “charity”, so you would have known of any parking arrangements.
Read all of Nowell’s posts… no sabotage, only a recommendation for spending ALL DAY Saturday and Saturday night at YOUR, by your own and CJ’s admission, non-PPC event. Nowell and I both have reservations with you for our cars. My check is in the mail. PPC FULLY supports your event. We are also offering a side trip for those that would rather see and do as much as possible while in Detroit. I fail to see the benefit to the member in insisting that they spend both days at your event and miss out on a wonderful part of the Prowler ownership experience that we all share. Perhaps CJ with all her inside influence and prestige with DC will persuade them to cancel their Friday night event? NOT!!! Remember DC asked us to come, you asked us to come, the members asked for CAAP… I say they can have it all. It is senseless to berate the club and it’s officers for trying to provide the most value and activity for the member’s time and dollar.
Both of you: stop your attacks, excuses, and ridiculous backbiting; you make yourselves look silly. The members can see that you are more concerned with your social pages party coming off than with insuring a fun and full Prowler event weekend with as much activity as possible and no detriment to anyone. Stop worrying so much about your personal gain and start being concerned with value to the members.
The deal is:
CAAP/MSX Friday, DC black-T Friday night, dream cruise Sat. That’s it, do whatever you want… do BOTH!!! We already have over 35 people reserved for CAAP/MSX. The Friday activities, and your event if you want, will get a HUGE spread in Prowl magazine, which will be mailed by mid-July (what did you think I have been so tied up with?)
Carol and CJ, stop lobbying and let the members decide for themselves what to do while in Detroit.
If the PPC wanted to “sabotage” your event a FULL weekend of events would have been planned (There is a NASCAR race on Sat, DC proving grounds, back to Henry Ford Museum, etc, etc, etc.) Instead PPC chose to make a full day of events to coincide with the DC event on Fri. that was already planned BY DC, and recommend that people attend your event on Sat. Hardly sabotage, although you can’t say that about your and CJ’s posts and remarks.
PPC’s position on this as owner of this site is that all parties have made their positions known. Therefore this thread and the other thread will be left up but closed to further responses. Any attempts to re-open this topic will be deleted. Everyone make up their own mind and plan for the weekend of August 18th accordingly.
THIS WEBSITE IS PRIVATELY OWNED AND IS NOT THE PLACE FOR PROMOTION OR LOBBYING OF YOUR PERSONAL AGENDAS OR PERSUIT OF VENDETTAS. NOR IS IT THE PLACE FOR NON-PPC NEWS AND INFORMATION.
THINK OF THIS SITE AND PPC AS A TV STATION… IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE PROGRAMMING… JUST CHANGE THE CHANNEL.
DO NOT COME HERE TO CRITICIZE THIS CLUB OR THIS CLUB’S PLANS AND ACTIVITIES AGAIN.

After reading that post from an officer (now former) of the PPC club, any member who supports that organization is blinded by things they "think that person did" for the club.

CAAP tours; sure they were organized, but ANYBODY can tor that plant on a Fiday and it is FREE ... thanks to the PPC, you paid $150. per person to go through it.

Product Deals; anyone could do better than going through the PPC on ANYTHING that they supposedly negoiated for us. My Borla system was less than $500 due to mentioning their "Internet site" when I ordered direct, and I have heard from others of prices being quoted and no change made after mentioning the PPC. The best deals, folks, were had and kept by Nowell and JT themselves.

I was ready to forgive and forget the fact that they "pulled my posting privledges" and treated me like a rebellious child, but then to see how two VERY active members in Michigan were so poorly treated and humiliated by JT, and with NO IMMEDIATE retraction by Nowell ... well, those that have found a home here are making a statement ... and you KNOW Nowell is reading!!
