CAN YOU NAME THIS COUNTRY?

709,000 REGULAR (ACTIVE DUTY) PERSONNEL.

293,000 RESERVE TROOPS.

EIGHT STANDING ARMY DIVISIONS.

20 AIR FORCE AND NAVY AIR WINGS WITH 2,000 COMBAT AIRCRAFT.

232 STRATEGIC BOMBERS.

19 STRATEGIC BALLISTIC MISSILE SUBMARINES WITH 3,114 NUCLEAR WARHEADS
ON 232 MISSILES.

500 ICBMs WITH 1,950 WARHEADS.

FOUR AIRCRAFT CARRIERS AND 121 SURFACE COMBAT SHIPS AND SUBMARINES PLUS
ALL THE SUPPORT BASES, SHIPYARDS, AND LOGISTICAL ASSETS NEEDED TO
SUSTAIN SUCH A NAVAL FORCE.

IS THIS COUNTRY:

RUSSIA? NO

CHINA? NO

GREAT BRITAIN? NO

FRANCE? WRONG AGAIN (What a Laugh!)

MUST BE THE USA? STILL WRONG (sort of...)

GIVE UP?

THESE ARE THE AMERICAN MILITARY FORCES THAT WERE ELIMINATED DURING THE ADMINISTRATION OF BILL CLINTON AND AL GORE. AND THEIR ELIMINATION WAS SUPPORTED 100% BY JOHN KERRY! (THESE HE DID VOTE ON!)

SLEEP WELL!

This is the same guy - - Kerry - - who last night applauded the contributions of the "Greatest Generation" emphasizing "50 years of peace" and then went on to remind us over and over of his version of his role in Vietnam, "the tattered flag over my shoulder...." Am I missing something, wasn't the Vietnam war within the 50 years after World War II, Korean, the terrorist's war against us that began in 1979 in Iran?

This gives me a pretty good idea who you'll NOT be voting for when the election gets here!

JOB APPLICATION

NAME: John Kerry
RESIDENCE: 7 mansions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Law Enforcement. I voted to cut every law enforcement, CIA and defense
bill in my career as a US Senator. I ordered Boston to remove a fire
hydrant, which I considered unsightly, in front of my mansion, thereby
endangering my neighbors in the event of fire.
MILITARY:
I used three minor injuries to get an early discharge from the military
andcservice in Vietnam (as documented by the attending doctor). I then
returned to the US, joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and insulted
returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers.
I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My
book; Vietnam Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier shows how I truly
feel about the military. I deplore the military!
COLLEGE:
I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my
counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get
admitted to Harvard or graduate with an M. B. A
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
I ran for U. S. Congress and have been there ever since. I have no real
world experience except that of a gigolo, by marrying rich women and
running HJ Heinz vicariously through my wife Teresa.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
As a US Senator I set the record for the most liberal voting record,
exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. I have consistently
failed to support our military and CIA by voting against budgets, thus gutting
our country's ability to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War,
now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted for
every liberal piece of legislation. I have no plan to help this country but
I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected.
My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he
will never catch up. I make no or little charitable contributions and have
never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in MA, despite family wealth
in excess of $700 million.
I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in
places like Asia, Mexico and Europe. We can make more profit from the cheaper
cost of labor in those Countries, although I blame George Bush for sending
all of the jobs out of Country.
Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy
and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might
spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts.
RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
None.
PERSONAL
I ride a Serotta Bike.
My Gulfstream V Jet I call The Flying Squirrel.
I call my $850,000 42-foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scarmouche."
I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and feel it reflects our real culture.
I own several "Large" SUVs including one parked at my Nantucket summer
mansion, though I am against large polluting inefficient vehicles and blame
George Bush for the energy problems.
PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004.

Recently saw Fahrenheit 9/11.....WOW, some of the facts and stats are shocking!!!!!!

The relationship between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family in itself is jaw dropping.

Go see it.........

Hey Blackcat,

I am probably a little bit of each (is 43 young?). I am from a country that is a political embarrassment so believe me I am not throwing stones. We all want change, we have all seen the professional politician run our Country (Canada) into the ground, but yet we keep lining up for more, fear of the unknown.

I have many American friends and also work closely with Americans in my job. I am not biast, I think both Countries are Great places to live.

The parts I liked about this movie where about Bush himself, no Actors, his own lines. I'm sure there will be many, many, lawsuits over this movie if it does liable someone, (especially since the money it is making).

I realize it is a movie and meant to sensationalize, however footage of Bush live when the planes are hitting the towers is priceless, etc., etc...

This is not a political rant and not pro any party, and meant to offend no one!

I have also wondered why we elect billionaires to office and then wonder why they don't have concern for the average citizen? We do it here also.

I also agree that it sure is a comedy, I just don't know who is laughing???

I fully agree with Blackcat. That slanted bunch of BS that Mickey Mouse Moore put out is total garbage.

Al - I also like the Kerry statements about there being Two Americas. He should know, as he drives through "One" America to get to one of his mansions in the "Other" America. All of those promises he made the other night,,,,,,PASS THE PLATE, it'll be coming from your wallet!!!

Sorry Thunder for being harsh. However most of the statements by Bush and many others were taken out of context. I watched the live news when this happened and until the second plane hit nobody put 2 and 2 together to figure out it was an attack. If I was in his place at the same time I would have done exactly what he did until the facts were known.

PS Mickey Mouse Moore is laughing all the way to the bank..........

Musta been snozing, but don't rememeber the Gore Administration. What years were those again? Do you mean scaled down military in response to the end of the cold war, or do you mean eliminated as in lost lives and hardware? Or are you just talking political rhetoric? Has anyone looked into "Mr. Presidents'" background? Did anyone bother to do that in 2000? How do you pronounce Af-ghan-is-tan, or even South Af-ri-ka. The man didn't even have a clue. Don't remind me that almost 1,000 American innocent live have been terminated because of an ego trip, and that means "I'll get you 'cause you tried to get my daddy", by a leader that claims to have been driven bad faulty intellegence. And the buck stops where? Oh by the way, I think my great grand children (which will enter this world somewhere around 2025 and enter the workforce around 2040)will owe an estimated $50,000.00 or more each, just to pay for our follies. That's if nothing changes from today's government spending problems. Not sure about anyone else, but I think my debts are mine, not my kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, etc. Democrats and Republicans have deep philosophical differences on how thing should be done. We, as Americans, should be looking at what is best for the country regardless of party afilliation. Get out and vote in November, and remember this "Are we better off than we were 4 years ago, are we more secure than we were before and what legacy will we be leaving to the loved ones that we (or our children) bring into this world?" Politics are a necessary evil, because we have made it so, but that doesn't mean we can't change things. Vote with the knowledge that you are sending this country on the right path, whichever you may chose. BUT VOTE!!!!!

Here's a basic lesson for you..........administrations include the president and (I invented the internet) VP Gore. Just like the current administration is Bush, Cheney. I won't even justify a response to the rest of your post..........

Typical Republican response, can't justify anything. As far as "Administrations" go, they are not Bush/Cheney (or is it Cheney/Bush?), it's the dude in charge (or at least supposed to be). When you come up with some justification for a response, please post it. Until then...keep pondering.

Is this a great country or what? We can have two different viewpoints on the same subject and still have the freedom to take a stand and speak our mind. I guess we will AGREE to DISAGREE on some issues, and still remain friends on this website.

Prowler said:

"...a leader that claims to have been driven bad faulty intellegence."

Consider the following: The Senate Intelligence Committee and Lord Butler's investigation in Britain and the 9/11 Commission have all independently arrived at the conclusion that both the American and British administrations were given seeming credible intelligence that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.

Add to this the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin informed Bush that Russian intelligence believed that Iraq was about to launch terrorist attacks against the United States.

Finally, there is the simple fact that Saddam would not cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors, giving the impression that he had something to hide.

Here's a quote from October 9, 2002:

quote:

Saddam Hussein signed that agreement. Saddam Hussein is in office today because of that agreement. It is the only reason he survived in 1991. In 1991, the world collectively made a judgment that this man should not have weapons of mass destruction. And we are here today in the year 2002 with an uninspected 4-year interval during which time we know through intelligence he not only has kept them, but he continues to grow them.

The above was said from the Senate Floor by John F. Kerry.

The hard reality is that gathering and interpreting intelligence is an art, not a science. Any President, Republican or Democrat, who was in office at the time with the information at hand would have had little alternative but to invade Iraq.

Someone told me today that they heard that John Kerry is for abortion......that it is not murder.

Recently, supposedly, he voted? for a law (or something like that) which says that if you kill a pregnant woman, you should be tried for two murders since the fetus is a living being.

Will someone tell me the difference??

...and how is he going to explain that one?

CJ, it's just like everything else. He doesn't have to explain anything. He says things like if I were president I would win the war on terror. However he gives no plans or ideas on how he might accomplish this. The Washington press corp was surveyed and only 1 in 12 supported Bush. The previous president (Clinton) had 90% support of the media 9 out of 10. So Kerry defiantly has the edge and will not be ask the tough questions!

After recently going through an election in Canada, I find the innuendo similarities quite amusing. There is no doubt the Bush Administration has had a tough 4 years, with many scenarios, caught on tape or recorded live. When they say something different it can be easy to be caught in a lie.

So what happens, because there is so little footage of the opposition we compensate with rumors and innuendos instead of facts, basically aimed at the ignorant or nieve (much like myself).

Abortion....has not been an electoral issue in our Country in decades, yet every election one party (usually the desperate one) will come out with the old "someone told me today, that they heard, that supposedly........ actual footage never to appear. I am not sure if Kerry said this or not, but I would like to see the tape, I can't beleive he is that stupid.

I think everybody eligible to vote deserves all the real information and they can sort out the crap and real goods for themselves.

Is this the same Country that wanted to impeach Clinton for a BJ (noticed I used capitals) ?...

I sincerely hope this election provides the American People and the World with the best possible Leader.

Just a view from outside the forest, didn't want to post this incase it offend someone, afterall we are all POA friends here, Please.... this is meant to offend no one.

Neither Republican nor Democrat.

Well Thunder I don't think he's stupid he just plays both sides. It depends on who he's talking to IMHO. Hang in there dude we all have the same problems and they're called politicians. They want everyone to vote for them at any cost. GWB could stop the illegal immigrants coming from Mexico but he won't 'cause he wants that vote.

Kerry bragged at one of the automobile plants that he owned several SUVs to please the United Auto Workers. A few days later they were questioning him about gas guzzlers and the environment and he denied owning any SUVs. They asked him about a specific SUV and he said it was not his, but his families.
They tell you whatever they think you want to hear. BOTH parties, all politicians.

From the TONIGHT SHOW, with Jay Leno: (courtesy of Jack Cody, Woodward Prowler owner from Ohio)

The Secret Service has announced it is doubling its protection for John Kerry. You can understand why - with two positions on every issue, he has twice as many people mad at him." - Jay Leno

* "We make jokes about it but the truth is this presidential election really offers us a choice of two well-informed opposing positions on every issue. OK, they both belong to John Kerry, but they're still there." - Jay Leno

* "John Kerry will undergo surgery to repair his right shoulder. He originally hurt it when he suddenly switched positions on Iraq."

* "President Bush listed his income as $822,000. You know what John Kerry calls someone who earns $822,000? Not even worth dating." - Jay Leno

* "Well the good news for Democrats, now over half the country can identify a picture of John Kerry. The bad news, the majority still thinks he's the dad from 'The Munsters."' - Jay Leno

* "John Kerry accused President Bush of catering to the rich. You know, as opposed to John Kerry who just marries them." - Jay Leno

* "They say John Kerry is the first Democratic presidential candidate in history to raise $50 million in a three-month period. Actually, that's nothing. He once raised $500 million with two words: 'I do.'" - Jay Leno
