P-Boy - I think Butch is referring to the statement you made about working on your wrecked 1997 Prowler (let's assume it's purple like all the rest of the 1997 production cats). Your avatar picture shows a silver Prowler in the picture,,,,,,,,which proves:

1. You would rather have a faster silver Prowler?

2. You painted your 1997 Prowler silver?

3. You know Jack about Prowlers?

4. You know Jack about politics?

5. I know Jack about Prowlers or politics?

6. None of the above?

Now BlkCat,,,,settle down. Maybe it is a '98 model,,,,1:18th or 1:42 scale model. I heard of a '97 cat in Minnesota that was wrecked,,,,,actually,,, cut in half by a train. Could this be his cat? No, he said no frame damage, just lots of body damage. Maybe its being converted to a uni-body Prowler? I'm sure he'll post pictures of it soon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

How to start the morning with a positive attitude.
1. Open a new file in your PC.
2. Name it "John Kerry."
3. Send it to the recycle bin.
4. Empty the the recycle bin.
5. Your PC will ask you, "do you really want to get rid of John Kerry?"
6. Answer calmly, "yes," and press the mouse button firmly.
7. Feel better..

8. Don't forget to flush! ..

I thought it my be some other reference (I was thinking about the teletubbies joke a few years back). The Prowler in question is indeed, mostly purple....it was in a rollover accident (nobody seriously injured)...the original owner didn't carry insurance (he's a libertarian, go figure)...myself and two friends, a mechanic for a Chevy dealer and a another guy who does body work for a local repair shop levied a deal to work on it on our spare time...and I use the term "work on it" loosely...mostly we just drink a lot of beer...

Everything is stock, and to be honest, although I'd seen a few of these cars on the street, initially I wasn't impressed. However, I've always wanted a "project" car, and this was the perfect opportunity to get in to what I assume is an "elite" ownership...

The vehicle itself has/had just over 10,000 miles on it before the rollover...I've (we've) had it just over a year, and haven't been able to pool enough time or financial resources (re: cash) to start the restoration process until recently...(I guess there's a lot of money tied up in all that plastic)...we've requested parts from the www.usedpartslive.com to no avail...so, our project may take awhile.

And to set the record straight, I do know Jack....Daniels.

With Frances coming to visit me shortly, I've decided that, in the (hopefully) unlikely event I end up spending next week with the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Wizard of Oz, I might as well make my political leanings public knowledge while I still have the chance.

I believe John Kerry is potentially the single worst presidential candidate we've ever had. Period. And with guys like Michael Dukakis and Al Gore in the running for that title, that's saying something.

I could pontificate for hours as to why, but suffice it to say that the man has shown himself to be completely without anything resembling "core convictions" - those beliefs that, in my humble opinion, every man deserving of the title of "man" should have. The values and beliefs that he lives for, and, if need be, would die for. Kerry is the most self centered, self indulgent, self absorbed, self delusional candidate for president I could have ever imagined (and I have a hell of an imagination). The fact that the Democratic party considers him the cream of their particular crop speaks volumes about what remains of the Democratic party. John Kerry? Dennis Kucinich? Wesley Clarke? Howard Dean? This is the best they could do? At least Joe Lieberman has some dignity and integrity. What's that? Too moderate? I see. Won't appeal to the abortion activists, the gay rights activists, the welfare nation, and PETA huh? Ok never mind. The lefter the better I guess. Let's just cast aside all of the morals and values and convictions that made this country great in the first place so we can maintain our relentless pursuit of political correctness. God forbid (oops, I said the G word) we should offend anybody in the course of trying to maintain the institutions that have allowed us as a nation to grow and prosper for 230 years. Let's all rally behind the ACLU and make sure that no one ever mentions God in school again. No nativity scenes. Get that darned cross off the seal of the city of Los Angeles (doesn't matter that missionaries played a huge role in it's history). The hell with Ozzie and Harriet and all they stood for - we've got Ozzy and Sharon and all they stand for.

I really miss black and white tv. The world made more sense to me then. I miss Father Knows Best, and Leave it to Beaver, and My Little Margie, and the Danny Thomas show. Am I nuts, or did the values those shows depicted once exist?

I don't know what's happened or when it happened, but I don't recognize the world I live in today. And I'm only 44 years old. Right and wrong used to have fairly well defined and widely accepted meanings. Everything wasn't "subjective". We weren't asked to tolerate inappropriate behavior just so we could call ourselves "tolerant". Well you know what - I don't care to be "tolerant" if it means I have to sacrifice my own integrity and surrender my values and morals in the process. I'm okay being politically incorrect. I'm okay being "old fashioned". I'm okay being controversial. The world (at least this country, which I love) WAS inarguably, unequivocally, and immeasureably a better place to live before this obsession with political correctness began. And I for one, miss it.

I'll step down off my soapbox now.

By the way, if you want to see just how insane the man who wants to be president really is, watch this video. It's about 7 or 8 minutes long, it's all unedited, and it's all in his own words. If this country could elect this man to be it's leader at this time, then I truly and honestly don't know where I live anymore.

Saw a national news program last night that said Kerry spoke before a enthusiastic sold out crowd of hundreds in Greensboro, NC and there were hundreds of others standing outside the restored depot in the rain to show their support.

THE TRUTH!
There were 300 there. The maximum capacity by fire regulations is 300. I drove by there and there may have been 20 - 30 outside and at that time it was not raining, it did later. There were about 50 Bush supporters across the street waving flip-flops. The state & local Democratic party pushed hard for supporters with telephone calls and mailings.

It was ironic that the event was held at the renovated train depot, because it is a truely beautiful facility renovated with $8,000,000 of federal DOT money and the place is vacate except for a bus terminal and a model railroaders club exhibit. It has sat like this for 2 years. FUTURE plans are for it to become a "mult--modal" transportation center with a train terminal, bus terminals, taxi service, etc. We will see.

A lot of truth in that joke.

I got this in email this morning...

BRING IT ON!

Oliver North now replies "Bring it on, John Kerry"
Oliver North (archive)

August 27, 2004

1971

"Of course, president Bush keeps telling people he would never question my service to our
country. Instead, he watches as a Republican-funded attack group does just that. Well, if Bush
wants to have a debate about my service in Vietnam, here is my answer: 'Bring it on.'"
-- Sen. John Kerry

2004

Oliver North Speaks his mind to John Kerry

Dear John,
As usual, you have it wrong. You don't have a beef with President George Bush about your war
record. He's been exceedingly generous about your military service. Your complaint is with the
2.5 million of us who served honorably in a war that ended 29 years ago and which you, not the
president, made the centerpiece of this campaign.
I talk to a lot of vets, John, and this really isn't about your medals or how you got them.
Like you, I have a Silver Star and a Bronze Star. I only have two Purple Hearts, though. I
turned down the others so that I could stay with the Marines in my rifle platoon. But I think
you might agree with me, though I've never heard you say it, that the officers always got more
medals than they earned and the youngsters we led never got as many medals as they deserved.
This really isn't about how early you came home from that war, either, John. There have always
been guys in every war who want to go home. There are also lots of guys, like those in my rifle
platoon in Vietnam, who did a full 13 months in the field. And there are, thankfully, lots of
young Americans today in Iraq and Afghanistan who volunteered to return to war because, as one
of them told me in Ramadi a few weeks ago, "the job isn't finished."
Nor is this about whether you were in Cambodia on Christmas Eve, 1968. Heck John, people get
lost going on vacation. If you got lost, just say so. Your campaign has admitted that you now
know that you really weren't in Cambodia that night and that Richard Nixon wasn't really
president when you thought he was. Now would be a good time to explain to us how you could have
all that bogus stuff "seared" into your memory - especially since you want to have your finger
on our nation's nuclear trigger.
But that's not really the problem, either. The trouble you're having, John, isn't about your
medals or coming home early or getting lost - or even Richard Nixon. The issue is what you did
to us when you came home, John.
When you got home, you co-founded Vietnam Veterans Against the War and wrote "The New Soldier,"
which denounced those of us who served - and were still serving - on the battlefields of a
thankless war. Worst of all, John, you then accused me - and all of us who served in Vietnam -
of committing terrible crimes and atrocities.
On April 22, 1971, under oath, you told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that you had
knowledge that American troops "had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires
from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up
bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot
cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South
Vietnam." And you admitted on television that "yes, yes, I committed the same kind of
atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed."
And for good measure you stated, "(America is) more guilty than any other body, of violations
of (the) Geneva Conventions... the torture of prisoners, the killing of prisoners."
Your "antiwar" statements and activities were painful for those of us carrying the scars of
Vietnam and trying to move on with our lives. And for those who were still there, it was even
more hurtful. But those who suffered the most from what you said and did were the hundreds of
American prisoners of war being held by Hanoi. Here's what some of them endured because of
you, John:
Capt. James Warner had already spent four years in Vietnamese custody when he was handed a copy
of your testimony by his captors. Warner says that for his captors, your statements "were proof
I deserved to be punished." He wasn't released until March 14, 1973.
Maj. Kenneth Cordier, an Air Force pilot who was in Vietnamese custody for 2,284 days, says his
captors "repeated incessantly" your one-liner about being "the last man to die" for a lost
cause. Cordier was released March 4, 1973.
Navy Lt. Paul Galanti says your accusations "were as demoralizing as solitary (confinement)...
and a prime reason the war dragged on." He remained in North Vietnamese hands until
February 12, 1973.
John, did you think they would forget? When Tim Russert asked about your claim that you and
others in Vietnam committed "atrocities," instead of standing by your sworn testimony, you
confessed that your words "were a bit over the top." Does that mean you lied under oath? Or
does it mean you are a war criminal? You can't have this one both ways, John. Either way,
you're not fit to be a prison guard at Abu Ghraib, much less commander in chief.
One last thing, John. In 1988, Jane Fonda said: "I would like to say something... to men who
were in Vietnam, who I hurt, or whose pain I caused to deepen because of things that I said or
did. I was trying to help end the killing and the war, but there were times when I was
thoughtless and careless about it and I'm... very sorry that I hurt them. And I want to
apologize to them and their families."
Even Jane Fonda apologized. Will you, John?

This is the first time I have heard anything of Kerry's first wife...

By Ann Coulter:

Kerry was indisputably brave in Vietnam, and it's kind of cute to see Democrats pretend to admire military service. Physical courage, like chastity, is something liberals usually deride, but are tickled when it accidentally manifests itself in one of their own. One has to stand in
awe of Kerry's military service 33 years ago. Of course, that's where it ends, including with Kerry -- inasmuch as, upon his return from war in 1970, he promptly began trashing his fellow Vietnam vets by calling them genocidal murderers.
But if Bush can't talk to Kerry about the horrors of war, then Kerry sure as hell can't talk to anyone about the plight of the middle class.
Kerry's life experience consists of living off other men's money by marrying their wives and daughters. For over 30 years, Kerry's primary occupation has been stalking lonely heiresses. Not to get back to his
combat experience, but Kerry sees a room full of wealthy widows as "a target-rich environment." This is a guy whose experience dealing with tax problems is based on spending his entire adult life being supported by rich women.
What does a kept man know about taxes?
In 1970, Kerry married into the family of Julia Thorne -- a family estimated to be worth about $300 million. She got depressed, so he promptly left her and was soon seen catting around with Hollywood starlets, mostly while the cad was still married. (Apparently, JFK really was his mentor.)
Thorne is well-bred enough to say nothing ill of her Lothario ex-husband.
He is, after all, the father of her children -- a fact that never seemed to constrain him. When Kerry was about to become the latest Heinz family charity, he sought to have his marriage to Thorne annulled, despite the fact that it had produced two children. It seems his second meal ticket, Teresa Heinz, wanted the first marriage annulled -- and Heinz is worth more than $700 million.
Kerry claims he will stand up to powerful interests, but he can't even stand up to his wife. Heinz made Kerry sign a prenuptial agreement, presumably aware of how careless he is with other people's property, such as other people's Vietnam War medals, which Kerry threw on the ground during a 1971 anti-war demonstration.
At pains to make Kerry sound like a normal American, his campaign has described how Kerry risked everything, mortgaging his home in Boston to help pay for his presidential campaign.
Technically, Kerry took out a $6 million mortgage for "his share" of "the family's home" -- which was bought with the Heinz family fortune.
Why should he spend his own money?
He didn't throw away his own medals.
I'm sure the average working stiff in Massachusetts can relate to a guy who borrows $6 million against his house to pay for TV ads.
Kerry's campaign has stoutly insisted that he will pay off the mortgage himself, with no help from his rich wife. Let's see: According to tax returns released by his campaign, in 2002, Kerry's income was $144,091.
But as The Washington Post recently reported, even a $5 million mortgage paid back over 30 years at favorable interest rates would cost $30,389 a month or $364,668 a year. The Democrats' joy at nominating Kerry is perplexing. To be sure, liberals take a peculiar, wrathful pleasure in supporting pacifist military types. And Kerry's life story is not without a certain feral aggression.
But if we're going to determine fitness for office based on life experience, Kerry clearly has no experience dealing with problems of typical Americans since he is a cad and a gigolo living in the lap of other men's money.
Kerry is like some character in a Balzac novel, an adventurer twirling the end of his mustache and preying on rich women. This low-born poseur with his threadbare pseudo-Brahmin family bought a political career
with one rich woman's money, dumped her, and made off with another heiress to enable him to run for president.
If Democrats want to talk about middle-class tax cuts, couldn't they nominate someone who hasn't been a poodle to rich women for the past 33 years?
Don't forget -- John Kerry is strong on defense:
* He voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle
* He voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank
* He voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988
* He voted to kill the Aegis anti aircraft system
* He voted to Kill the F-15 strike eagle
* He voted to Kill the Block 60 F-16
* He voted to Kill the P-3 Orion upgrade
* He voted to Kill the B-1
* He voted to Kill the B-2
* He voted to Kill the Patriot anti Missile system
* He voted to Kill the FA-18
* He voted to Kill the B-2
* He voted to Kill the F117
In short, he voted to kill every military appropriation for the development and deployment of every weapons systems since 1988 to include the battle armor for our troops. With Kerry as president our Army will be made up of naked men running around with sticks and clubs.
He also:
* voted to kill all anti terrorism activities of every agency of the US Government
* and to cut the funding of the FBI by 60%,
* to cut the funding for the CIA by 80%,
* and cut the funding for the NSA by 80%.
But then he voted to increase OUR - the USA's - funding for U.N. operations by 800%!!!
If you are interested in the character of the next president of the United States, please forward this to those you want to inform. We do not need a "character" as President

*********************************************************

It's time the USA get the hell out of that United Nations. They want us to support it and carry the financial load to keep it going,,,but name one good thing the UN has done recently,,,just one. Now they have this idea about a world tax to feed the starving people. They haven't been too concerned about the starving in the Sudan and other countries, and the slaughter of Saddam of his own people before.

We need to tell them (UN):
1. You need to lead
2. You need to follow
3. OR, You need to get the hell out of the way

Time to bail out of this cluster %#@&
