Sorry for missing so many calls yesterday but I got a call from my son Sunday night that he went in the ditch in Missouri on his way home from California ( home for 3 weeks before he ships to Japan for 14 months ) and the car was going to need repairs before he could drive home, well Monday at 9 AM I get another call it would take $1500 and 2 days to get the car ready ( using used parts ) so ask asked them to do an estimate using new parts to fix the entire car and the bill came to $5300. SO I ask these people why you would try to fix just the running gear using used parts for $1500 on a car that they know had full coverage because of towing when anyone in the car repair business would know that a 97 Camaro V-6 car is only worth maybe $6000. I just hate it when people try to take advantage of someone and that was all this was,they knew they had a young kid with his pride and joy broken, he was along way from home, so I called my old race buddy he went from Ankeny IA, to Cameron MO picked up my son and I drove from here to Ankeny all of this in a Snow storm. Sorry had to vent a little.
P.S anyone in Iowa that is going to buy a NEW Chevrolet please check out Karl Chevrolet as the owner Carl Moyer is the kind of guy that will go out of his way to help someone out.
