Yep saw it and the conversion is not even close to being as nice as the 53 that you have. The car they had on display you would think they would have taken the time to make the fit and alignment of the panels be right on the money. Larry I know you would be very disappointed, I looked it over a couple of times and it would not even pass the 20 rule. It is a case of a great idea and poor execution. ------------------ |

thanx Bob.... ....I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something about the design that doesn't quite fit....not sure what it is but it just seems lacking somewhere....I would have to see it in person I guess.....I have seen a couple other attempts at this sort of thing....total abominations.....very happy with the one I have.... .......................................thanx again |

What's wrong with it is it's too long! The style is not suited to a longer car. I'm sure the original is shorter. |

Well the things that hit me but they really could not do much about the doors are to long and I think if you measured it against the real deal the front end is shorter on this one. Also the whole front end tilts forward instead of the hood only opening. ------------------ This message has been edited by Bob Goetz on 03-21-2005 at 04:09 PM |

The thing that first struck me when I looked at the pictures was it looked wide and flat. Looks exactlty like somone stepped on it. |

I dunno ... I like it ... specially the rear 1/4 view ... very slick. Hard to tell the door "issue" from the pics, and the part about the whole front tilting, maybe to get around any "issues" from the vendor of the '53 kit perhaps? The front 1/4, Larry, maybe its the rake of the widshiled against the "original", but, what ya gonna do, huh? Looks great in pics and I'm sure the '53 kit that TIUB has on his car started off 'rough' too before customer acceptance production units. JM2Cents |

quote: Ray, ...I think maybe it is the windshield that seems awkward to me....I had both a 61 and a 62 many years ago...I would like to see more pictures and their web site doesn't have any....apparently, this is the only example in existence..... |

quote: Phil: This is a C5 conversion ... so ... yeah, using the C5 doors and handles, windshield and glass ... its NOT a 61/2. Hope you knew that. |

I like it better then the 53 kit... sits better IMO. Maybe if they get enough interest, the can clean up the details. |
