What are they spraying inside? What are they using for a trigger or spark? ------------------ |

Probably spraying ether and using a grill starter for the trigger. They have all sorts of plans for these scattered across the web. |

Rich is right, hair spray is great although old school. My boys and I use starting fluid or ether, just a fine mist with a grill igniter and watch out. Alot of fun but like anything else, gotta be careful. Chuck, we have been sending potatoes over the trees towards your house for years now. Thats where all those french fries in your yard have been coming from. ------------------ |

I have one of those... It is a little larger but works great... You make them out of pvc pipe. Just do a search on goole on potato gun and you got all kinds of schematics on these babies. I will pull mine out and post some pictures of it... Later... ------------------ |

Shoot a concrete/brick wall and the ball completely shatters. It's pretty cool, just make sure you're far enough away. |

I've had one of these for over 10 years. I use WD40 and an old rotary flint igniter. They are a blast to play with if you have the room to shoot it. The potatoes fly several hundred feet. Shooting over a lake is ideal if there are no boaters! |

OK BBQ Days attendees maybe we should set up a shooting range below the hill? ------------------ |
