What color pin stripe would you use between the 2 colors having silver flames going into a black body?

Bob - that's tough. On Black a lot of colors offer good contrast and will make the silver flames stand out. Red & Gold would be the brightest and show up the most, Blue and green would be good contrast, purple would be more subdued and you would not notice it as much.

My choice would be blue or purple. Can you get some cheap pin striping tape and try it on your flames now to get an idea what you like?

I would think a darker silver/grey to blend it in.

Hey BobG - with all these different suggestions you are bound to insult somebody because you didn't choose to listen to their advise. That's what friends are for. :

Black with tone-on-tone silver flames needs something to make it pop. I've done this many times and am always amazed at what the painter or striper comes up with. Are you doing the flames to be subtle or in-your-face?

Funny you mentioned those two colors....

Just the other day I was telling a buddy how oranges and lime greens are going to be the new "hot" colors for cars for a while.

You are all wrong...

The only color pinline to separate silver flames from a black background should be:

RED

How old are you? Makes a difference in what you would select.

It is really amazing to me how much difference a pinstripe color will make when outlining flames. Even though I thought I knew what I wanted, my custom painter made the final decision because I liked several equally after looking at samples.
