I am having a problem getting insurance in ontario because the vehicle is not registered in ontario- will have temporary permit. Anyone in Ontario had the same problem and can recommend insurance company that will provide coverage

The vehicle should not be required to be registered to insure. It should be irrelevant to the insurance company where it is registered. I'm under a group plan so I can't give you a recommendation, but I know of others who have imported as well without any difficulty. Take it up the ladder
