Ed - it's scary that we are posting nearly the same thread, at the same moment,,,, one minute apart. I think I seen Pete during the pregame show,,,,taking bets out in the parking lot, lol. |

Ed, did Pete say what the odds were on a four game sweep? I'm sorry, I am still just trying to get over what happened to my pinstripes last week. AC, they kept Johnny Damon down for 6 games, you knew that that couldn't continue. CONGRATS! Now I learn that the Yanks are in Boston for opening day next year and get to watch the banner going up. Oh boy, I gotta get up there for that one. Yeah right. Maybe Pedro will be in pinstripes pitching against the sox. An interesting Steinbrener thought for the off season. ------------------ |

Tom - Not that I love them, but I picked the Yankees to win the October big show. Pete called last night to collect on my lost bets. Boston/NY first game of next year in Boston? That will be rubbing salt into the wound, lol.

Loved the fact the Red Sox pitcher was interviewed by Charlie Gibson this morning. When Charlie called him a hero, he said, "No, the real heros are the men and women fighting in Iraq". His closing remarks were, "Don't forget to vote next Tuesday............(pause).......and vote Bush!" Charlie nearly had a cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

yah, it was a little too easy, the cardinals are a better team then they showed that's for sure, i was picking the sox in 6 games. it definitely was one of the better matchups. the curse has been reversed now!!  babe ruth turned over in his grave, and said "when i started my career, i was with the red sox" not the yankees, i've cursed the wrong team!!! oh well so new york will have another 81 years to wait?    |
