I am not much of a Ford fan, but I like what they did way better than Chrysler's poor attempt with the new Charger.

At our local car show yesterday,,,,a new '05 Stang GT was there on display. Nice,,,really nice, except the red metallic paint had lots of orange peel and a very thin coat of clear on it I guess job quality #1 left that day at the assembly plant. I didn't particularly like the large inside headlights, but other than those few things, I believe the car will continue to have sales success. JMO

At least a 275-40-17, 2004 came with a 255-45-17 and still a little small. JMO

The car must not have balls..LOL I love the look on what they have done!

Me too .........U guess the new 'stang is gonna project Ford into the sales stratosphere ??

We had a 1995 GT Convertible which we traded in for a 1999 35th Anniv. GT Convertible - wouldn't mind having THIS model - was really excited to see it the first time EVER since the concept was unvailed !

Saw two on the lot. Ok, not fantastic and may or may not grow on me when I see it on the street. Too much $ and cheap looking interior on the 6 cyl. IMHO

I like the looks of the car but the wheels are ugly and the tire size is just as bad. JMO

Not as good as the concept, but they never are. They screwed up the back a little with the quarter windows and the lines. Overall it's a thumbs up, I can't wait to see what Saleen does with it!

These car companies say they are trying to appeal to the aging "baby boomers". I don't know who or what they are sampling, but I'm not impressed with their attempts. The new mustang comes the closest in my opinion.

I have never been a fan of the Mustang but that looks okay to me. It is the closest any of the manufacturers have come to reproducing an older car. Ford did a lot better with this than with the T-Bird, although that is growing on me.

It's a step in the right direction, much nicer than the 04's and I think the GT is a good deal at 26K for a 300HP car.

However, I think the new car already looks outdated... I know it's supposed to look classic, but it just seems like it's been around. They should have put a little more style into it.
