Just this past weekend, a group of RX-8's went down to the "Dragon". Having had so much fun there last year at PTS, I just coulnd't pass it up. Again, it was a great time. Here's some pics from the Dragon photographer. Thought I would share.

I think you had a bigger smile on your face last year though.

Whealey, glad to see you still know how to have fun. That is a fun road, for sure. Glad you had a good time.

All,

Thanks for the well wishes.

Prowler – I’m not arguing.

Dr. Prowler – Ya know I set the saline solution in a special spot this trip as I knew you wouldn’t be there to get my back!

BeWare – Lots of fun in both. The RX-8 is lacking in power, but make up for it on the handling side. So for this trip it was a fun ride. I was also nice having a dynamic stability control as a safety net. The group I ran with was considerably younger than I. So they went pretty aggressive. Their comment was that if the stability control warning light didn’t go off, you weren’t driving. Mine never went off that I know of, but then again I was concentrating on the road, not the instrument panel. I made five one way trips so plenty of time getting the feel. However, I can still remember following Gene down the turns with Prowler behind me at PTS. From my memory, the Kat didn’t have any handling problems that ride either. No mishaps. Although we did watch a video about the “tail” the night before. It showed us several accident shots and a still of our Florida friends were in the video! At least this time I knew what to expect!
