I just recently (June) got an AudioVox 8900 camera phone. I've LEARNED to love it! It's been very useful while at the side of the road to call Tow Trucks or friends to bring tools. So long as I have a Prowler and drive further than the end of the driveway..I always have a cell phone.

Samsung s307 - Smallest phone out there. Plus, it's prowlerized: the antenna was scratched up so I painted it Prowler Burnt Orange Pearl Metallic to match my car!

Sanyo SCP-7300 with speakerphone

Use Sprint service but company is switching to Nextel next in next month or so.

I've had a cell phone since 1988 or 89 and Reba & I have not had a landline at home for over a year & 1/2 now. Can't imagine not having a cell phone. I don't text message, surf the internet, send photos, or anything other than make & receive calls.

Motorola/Nextel for me. I got rid of the house phone after I won 3 free trips to Disney World in one day. I won about 10 trips per week, on average. No telemarketers is a wonderful thing.
The down side was that I kept getting calls for the previous owner of my cell number. This went on for a year. Finally I told the dumb arse that he dialed the wrong number AGAIN. He straightened me right out by telling me he did not dial the number, it was in his phone's memory. I told him he must have the right number then, I was wrong after all and hung up. He hasn't called for about 6 months.

Nokia/Cingular

Mine is an older one, but one that I am familiar with. I like the larger buttons on it that I can read without having to put my glasses on! I only use it if I really need it......more for emergencies. I hate people that drive and talk on their cell phones.......it should be outlawed!

I have a Motorola and a Toshiba. My wife and son have one each, all on Alltel.

There is no airtime charge for up to 5 bundled numbers. So, we put my mother-in-law on the service too.

We swore that we would never get our 12 year old son a cell phone, but he started playing golf this summer and area courses only let youth under 14 go on course with a cell phone if they are not with an adult. He was playing in weekday tournaments and neither I nor my wife could take the better part of a day 3 times a week to accompany him. The cell company programmed his phone to only send and receive calls to me, my wife, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law and 911. It has really come in handy on several occassions with no problems thus far.

Nokia/Cingular tri-band - works all over the US & Canada, especially where many others don't work!

RIM/Blackberry/AT&T GSM - time will tell. GSM has let me down in the past. So far so good, especially with emails.

No camera phones. Can't take them into facilities that I visit.

Most phones have too many features and become too complicated. Still maintain Palm based PDA/Navigation organizer for data. Works great. Too many phone numbers to store in something that I trade in regularly. Future SIM cards may resolve storage transportability in the future.

We have Nextel/Nokia and AT&T Motorola. We keep two different plans to minimize dead spots. My Nextel was dead a lot on the way to Texas, the AT&T worked the whole way.

Richard Jackson has had at least two of everything mentioned so far. That is for 2004 ONLY. If this thread lasts another week, he will be able to post more entries as he gets new phones.
Richard, How many cell phones have you had, total? 30? 40?
