Since I've had 5 cups of coffee and I'm tryin' to pass some time while I wait for Frances to arrive, I'm feelin' a bit mischievous here. I just finished a pretty exhilarating political/philosophical rant on another thread (the "Can you name this country" thread), and while I'm still all fired up, I figured I'd post this link on it's own separate thread to make sure as many people as possible see it. It's important. It's our collective future I'm talkin' about here. It's probably gonna piss off a few people, but that's a chance I'm (apparently) willing to take.

Republican or Democrat, anyone viewing this video will have to come to the same conclusion - that it is the single most damning indictment of John Kerry and his lack of convictions that anyone could have imagined. It's unedited and it's in his own words. Coming out of both sides of his mouth no less...

Enjoy.

Please post your opinion of it when you're finished viewing it. I'd like to know if it angers anybody else as much as it does me.

I've forwarded the link, but conservatives wont need the prod and liberals wont read it. In all fairness, some of the clips were cut short and could have been taken out of context, but the general idea was there.

The part of this campaign that bothers me is the Hatred. So many people feel so strongly about their own views that they show a really unhealthy amount of hatred for the other candidate, and anyone who disagrees with their own ideas. I just witnessed two of my friends get into a shouting match this morn at the coffee shop. It really is sad that some get so agitated with "The Other Side". That hatred for someone or some party is very unhealthy. JMO

my realtor is a democrat and she protest marched at the RNC. I started to get into it with her and then bit my tongue. Seems its anybody but Bush with her as with most of my liberal friends and family that shares that view. I can identify as I just changed the channel whenever the slick one or the B came on the tube. Now that they're out of office, I can tolerate them for a little longer.

Coffeyman - " That hatred for someone or some party is very unhealthy. JMO"

Maybe so? I think that people are more divided about the direction this country is heading. Since 9/11, this country will never be the same. We either can sit back and wait for each new attack and more death to innocent citizens, or we can take the fight to the land where our attackers expand their hatred of America and our way of life. If you have balls and are thinking of the future safety of your country, your family, and your grandkids,,,,you take the war to them. If you only think about yourself, you sit on a stump and dream about the way the things use to be in the past.
Bush has chosen the path to go after those who can harm us in the future. Kerry has chosen,,,well,,57 Varieties of what to tell you depending on where and to whom he is speaking.

I may not be completely objective (although I try - I really do), but the hatred seems to be coming largely from the anti Bush folks. It's been my experience that those in support of the President don't "hate" those opposed to him, but rather feel very passionate about their stance and often find themselves wildly frustrated by the propaganda spewed by the left. The unemployment rate is at 5.5% - the same as it was when Clinton was re-elected, yet all the liberal talking heads and Kerry himself continue to say the economy is failing miserably ("the worst since the depression"? I don't think so...), and that Bush has the worst economic/jobs record since Herbert Hoover. Why was a 5.5% unemployment rate a plus for Clinton, but a sign of the "miserable failure" George Bush's Presidency has been? Then you the Al Gores screaming that the President betrayed his country, Ted Kennedy saying Bush is a liar and "concocted the war in Crawford Texas for political gain", and good ol' Howard Dean pushing the idea that Bush knew about 9/11 before it happened (right...). Zell Miller had it right when he said that "his party" was so consumed by their "manic obsession to bring down the Commander in Chief" that bad news for the Country was good news for the party. That may be why you see the kind of heated arguments Butchee's buddies apparently got into this morning. Some people are just sick and tired of the left wing liberal party line propaganda spewed by the party leaders and absolute dirtbags like Michael Moore. I know I am.

Here's an interesting fact (I'm fond of facts - I hope you are too...)

These are the definitions of two words from Dictionary.com - see if you can identify what the words are:

_________________: Consisting of, concerning, or based on documents.
Presenting facts objectively without editorializing or inserting fictional matter, as in a book or film.

A work, such as a film or television program, presenting political, social, or historical subject matter in a factual and informative manner and often consisting of actual news films or interviews accompanied by narration.

Now number two:

__________________: The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.
Material disseminated by the advocates or opponents of a doctrine or cause:
Information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause.

Ok, ya ready for the answers?

The first one is the definition of the word "documentary".

The second one is the definition of the word "propaganda".

Is anyone out there still willing to follow the media and the democratic party and call Fahrenheit 9/11 a "documentary"?

I sure hope not.

It may come down to something as simple as this old saying...

"My enemies enemy...is my friend".

Then again it may not....
