Mike, between you & CNote and a couple others, I'm always losing out on auctions. Is that cash register at the DQ hooked up to the net or what?

Now Im getting hate mail

Shame on you cnote6!! I thought TheDQmanFla was suppose to be a friend and fellow POL member. Mike didn't have anything to do with me sending this message. In fact, he might be upset with me for doing it. Was it worth it to you to undercut him like that? How many of these rare die cast Prowlers do you need? Last time I heard from that Nick guy he wasn't even going to sell it to you. Both you and Mike need to report him to eBay. Well, that's about all I wanted to say. Before you say it, YES this was none of my business, but I thought Mike deserved better from another POL member, Prowler owner and friend.

my reply..

Hold on, Puddles never last on ebay and are always taken off. I have learned in the past, so all I did was call the # he gave and asked him what he wanted for the car and he told me (lower than the sold price) so I said to him make it a buy it now and I would pay with paypal, thats it... I know a few people would do it. Now for the DQ man I know he has all 3 and I have 1. I sold him mine to take my wife and I to the Smokies event.

I did not intentionally set out to do this against DQman. I had no way of
knowing what his bid was when I called the guy it was still at the opening
bid of $25. Ebay is an auction and is open to everyone, anyone can bid on an
item and there has been many times I have been outbid and lost items to
other POA members... but that is part of what an auction is about.

Hmmm...

If it's a done deal and buy it now, and paypal was used it is a legal binding contract isn't it????

Chris,

I just want you to know it is not that big a deal to me.
Dont know who sent you that email, but I did not endorse or ask anyone to do that.
I like you, probably have much bigger things on my plate to worry about.
PS ( as I told the seller when he emailed me, Now that he promised it to you, at NO PRICE would I be interested in the item Now.)
Regards to you and Christy
Mike

CNote ... here's the chance to see just how tight this POA community is (and honest too) ... if that guy is pulling that crap now that you have a done deal ... we should all band together and boycott his little base and watch him go from having $100 in hand to zip, zero, zilch, nadda .... Can WE do it?? Teach these "oh, it's now worth a lot more" people a lesson. A deal IS a deal -- or should be.

I can understand that you have other potential buyers calling you but I did
call you first and I asked you what you were wanting for the car and I paid
over that. You relisted the item and I did pay for it promptly. This is a
valid auction on ebay which shows sold and paid. Once an item is agreed on
and paid for, per Ebay guidelines you cannot go back and change your mind
due to getting a higher offer and decide to give it to another buyer when
the auction has already ended. I would hate to leave negative feedback but
it seems like I have done my part of the deal and would expect you to honor
your part of the auction.

Thanks

I would be calling Ebay or Paypal, and see if there is anything legally you can do about it. I know you don't want your money back, and want the puddle.

Sorry you guys got japped by this guy.I wouldn't let E-Bay know since you tried to beat them out of commission by ending the auction early. Happens all the time and doesn't seen to be hurting their stock price, You might have a complaint with paypal if $ was already sent. Tammy, the missing parts can be found here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=223&item=6924578804&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
Same car with the exception of the rear plate lettering.
