Sorry guys, but I think it's kind of amusing.

The guy who pulled a back door deal now thinks the seller isn't playing fair?
Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black isn't it?

I'd be contacting E-Bay Chris--you got him cold.

Tho what Chris did may have been a little underhanded, the sale was still in compliance with ebay as the seller has the right to change his ad to include a buy it now price and the sale was not done outside of ebay, so I doubt ebay would do anything to this guy for selling it as he did. As they state, the sale constitutes a binding contract to be honored by both buyer and seller. If the seller doesn't honor it, then ebay or paypal could do something about it, but having dealt with both before on problematic issues, the real question is... will they??? Whatever is done, it should be done before the current auction ends. If the guy is holding out for a $500 reserve, I'm not sure it'll be met. On the other hand, there is a cover and bag that got up to $455 so far while another (ending earlier) is at $265.
My question is, since the car is missing a bumper and a seat, the car could be replaced with another car (collector edition as opposed to a dealer edition car). How would anyone be able to tell the difference? (What are the differences in the two editions?)
