Did you belong to a car club before? Yes, Mercedes-Benz Club of America and we started two local clubs, one for the SLs and another club for the PT Cruisers. And we are also members of a Honda S2000 club and still are members of all three. We did have a Jaguar back a few years ago, so we belonged to the British Car Club for a couple of years, as well. Did you get involved in different events back then? Yes, since we started two clubs . . . we were the president, vice-president , secretary and treasurer. We initiated several events and participated in many more. We show all our cars and travel to different states. We go cruising every Saturday and we pick a different vehicle each week. The Prowler hasn't had a big impact on our life. Variety is the spice of life. How did you spend time you now use on the P.O.A.? We did the same things, we just added the Prowler to the list.
2 hours a day minimum. 7 days a week. (We happen to have a good boss and lets us use the computer all day. By the way - Norm is Pat's boss and Pat is Norm's boss.) We try to check all the car clubs websites, so we are pretty busy. We also update our website with events that we have been involved with over the last five years. We try to do a photo documentation of work that we have done on our vehicles as well. Check our website out, if you haven't already ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . More cars and other stuff New pictures in Personal Scrapbook (02/23/03) "The Prowler is not a car to go from Point A to Point B. The Prowler is the Point!" Never was involved in a car club before, so never attended any events other than to browse at an occasional car show. I guess I spend about an hour a day Mon. thru Fri. during business hours. I became aware of POA while doing an online search about Prowlers and got hooked! ------------------ |

before the POA...... ...I was a GEEK.....my plaids never matched, my glasses were taped together in several places....I kept Clearasil in my pocket protector along with 7 pencils and pens, and my pants were way to short(still have that problem).....I was a member of the "Nash Metropolitan Street Racing Club"....it was at a dragstrip one hot Saturday afternoon when Cookie walked by in a halter top and it was love at first sight....I was set to race my Nash that day and turned the quarter in 27.33 @ 57mph.....that car was knockin down at least 35 horses....... ...I was a nobody till the POA...I had a part time job herding cats, I listened to Perry Como records and drank Schlitz beer, sometimes, 2 at a time.....I had a pet lizzard named Tyrone that I took out for walks around the park just to kill a little time until the next episode of Star Trek ....I was a total dud.... ...One day out of the blue, there was a mysterious wind that blew into town... I heard voices....they said "go to Goodwin Dodge, NOW DORK !!!".....I stopped in to see the friendly people at the dealership and they gave me a good trade on the Metropolitan towards a new Prowler and I was out the door in a flash.....at last, my plaids were in proper alignment, the tape disappeared from my glasses and my pocket protector flew out the open window and my zits disappeared, Cookie was beside me sucking down a Big Mac and the world was right..... Later that same day, I got a call from the POA looking for a few "Kool Kats"...I signed up for a lifetime enlistment.... ....now I spend all my free time cruising on the POA Board and, in general, just being a nuisance to everyone else... Did you belong to a car club before? The only other car club that I belonged to prior to POA was The Plymouth Prowler Club (PPC) which I joined when Rion McConnell from Ohio started the club back in 96 or 97.
I worked for an ad agency and then a sports marketing company. My husband Bob (RPL) worked for AMC/Chrysler/ DaimlerChrysler. I've spent years putting on and attending events........I used to take my work vacation time and help out Bob with his corporate events. Between my work events and his, these events were mainly automotive...Jeep Jamborees, Jeep 101, corporate/dealer events, NHRA, NASCAR, Meadowbrook Historic Races in conjunction with Concours d'Elegance at Meadowbrook, many years of SEMA shows, etc. I also handled the Plymouth Prowler Road Show for Chrysler. How did you spend time you now use on the P.O.A.? In addition to working 12-14 hours a day at my job, I took care of my husband, my extended family, our home, our cottage and all things domestic! I did spend time on the PPC website. Also took care of my cars, including my first Prowler. How many hours a day,a week,a month do you spend on the site? LOL! WOW! Based on my 10,000+ posts, WAY too much time!.. ......but then maybe not! This message has been edited by CJ on 08-30-2004 at 05:25 PM |

Did you belong to a car club before? AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Did you get involved in different events back then? Yes, at all three organizations. Now its just mostly POA. I still belong to the others but rarely do anything. How did you spend time you now use on the P.O.A.? Both our kids were in the High School Band and from 1988 until 1998 we traveled with them as Chaperones, ran the concession stand at all athletic events, ran their bingos and sweepstakes fund raisers and I drove the equipment truck to all competitive events. That ended in June of 1998, coincidently one month before we bought the Prowler. My computer is on all the time so I just check the site periodically. About two hours a day total. Did you belong to a car club before? AACA a long time ago Did you get involved in different events back then? No How did you spend time you now use on the P.O.A.? Mostly watching TV and Oil painting. The later is the only downside of the POA, Neither my wife or I have picked up a paint brush since owning the Prowler.
The best part of the POA is all the wonderful friends we have made. We have traveled more since belonging to the POA than we ver did. |

I was a member of Eastern F-Body Association with my 98 Z28. Never been much for events...one or 2 a year is enough. I now divide my time between 4 regular message boards. Only way to get the scoop on hobbies/ collectibles, cars, etc.... I spend too much time on all message boards...too much talk and not enough work, but when the work is so boring, I'll find any excuse to surf. At home I'll log on to POA, but usually have too much going on to waste time online at home. |

Roman. I've spent more time on computer since Prowler... I belong to 13 car clubs (1st one about 8 years ago)... more national events/activities with Prowler and more local events/activites with the other 12 clubs... ------------------ |
