Instead of rearragning two existing colors (Woodward Edition and Blacktie), should DC have offered two aditional original colors?

Before you "Woodys" and "Ties" get fired up, understand I like those two-tone combonations.

I'm just asking if folks would have prefered to have the combos, or would have prefered to have DC offer two entirely different colors??

If the Prowler kept going DC probably would have offered
more colors just as they now have on the PT Cruiser.
It was just easier to start with what they had in hand.

I kinda like the two-tones with the W.W. being my favorite.
I think they did it for effect and not $ savings. Maybe they weren't getting the anticipated sales and tried to spice things up with a special model.I wonder how long in advance the color choices were picked? CJ and Bob would know.

Before we bought the orange cat,,,we considered buying another silver and painting the top half either a bright blue metallic (GM color from the 70's) or candy red metallic. Maybe some photo shop expert can show me what I missed out on?

Chryslers candy red with silver or black, or
chryslers intense blue with silver would make
beautiful combos. or how about burnt orange with
silver on top. I think chromer's black and yellow
is also a slick combo!

I think that both the Woodward and Black Tie were produced due to Mike K. putting his black hood and trunk lid on his silver and red cats and posting the pictures here on POA. I guess you can look at the glass as being half empty and say they could have produced two new colors or look at it as half full and say they were inovative (Actually Mike was) and so there were two additional choices.
I think Frank's Blue Tie is outstanding. Back at the time it was painted I did not think it was a good idea. I am not on the leading edge of the learning curve, obviously. It takes me awhile. His car is a knockout, now.

I think the two-tones were done to move inventory.

I also think that DC should have asked real "car people" what colors they wanted for Prowler instead of the youngsters in the design office who were "clueless". Colors like a fire engine red, hemi orange, cuda green, that bright blue.......you know what I'm talking about. They were looking at some interesting colors had they continued production, but now that's a moot point!
