This is the Black SSR I was describing in another thread by/to RealRod Bob. It just had a supercharger and intercooler installed, and was having problems running hot at first. Produces over 400 hp. 22" Pirelli tires on rear. Wheels by Billet Specialties? I just want to run a stock one, once. Have had two opportunities at signal lights, but on both, the SSR drivers declined Maybe the appearance of the Alley Cat scared them?

Wanted - good to hear I figure those trucks weighing 2000 lbs more than a cat,,,,can't run with us if they are stock. BUT, we all know the Chevy motor has lots of upgrade potential.

That would "lite 'em up". I think we will see many SSR's with super engines soon.

From what I have heard around the Auction is they are to have the Corvette Motor and 6 speed and 2 tone interior next year, that is why the prices on them right now are dropping like a rock. New ones here can be bought at invoice and seems like every dealer has 2 or 3.

I have like the SSR from the start.
This one is super.
The package that Bob describes in them would be great.

I think depending on Equipment they are $39 to $42, my wholesale buddy just sold a Yellow/Chrome Wheels/loaded and custom 2 tone seats with 2800 miles for $37000. If anyone wants one I know a few Chev dealers just send me a PM with the color you want and your phone number.

David – Edmunds places base sticker at $41,370 and invoice at $38,681 if that’s the invoice you are looking at. Hope that helps.

Yea they are sitting everywhere. I also read somewhere that the Vet engine is going to be offered next year. I remember when the folks making the vet powertrain were upset about putting it in the CTS-V. They were afraid that it would “water down” it’s value. Aren’t they talking about putting it in the GTO as well? And isn’t it also in the Cady convertible.

The interesting thing about the vet engine is SSI already has a package for installing one. But the 0-60 time hardly dropped at all. They mentioned in the Motor Trend article that the trany was the issue. Don’t know if that’s in the list of upgrades or not.

I still say they are over producing. They are making as many of these in one year as the entire Prowler production. The prospective customers can’t be all that different. So new options or not, I assume they will cutting production sometime very soon.
