Well it's that time of year again.. It's offically the start of boating season. Even though here in TX we can pretty much boat year round... I haven't been doing much lately, but this weekend, I probably won't even get off of it till Sunday night or monday morning...
Anyone else have the same idea, or better???

No boating for me either this long holiday weekend. Saturday starts out with another project work on the silver cat, followed up with some interior cleaning, and then maybe attending the local car show. Sunday, weather permitting, is shelved off to watch the entire Indy 500 race, followed by more cleaning on the cat getting ready for the trip to Texas. Monday, a new set of plugs goes in the cat first, and then a wax job which is long overdue. Tuesday, it's pack the cat day and then the countdown to Texas departure begins.

Wow Bob,
I didn't think you were old enough to have been married that long, but I guess you're only as old as you feel.

Congrats!!!!!!!

Running my son's team hockey practice tonight. Coah is out of town.

In my office tomorrow morning, at the pool with the kids tomorrow afternoon.

Hockey tournament Sunday. Will watch the Charlotte race on TV that night. Gave my Suite tickets this year to my right hand man due to a more important engagement; son's hockey.

Get things in order at home Mon. morn. for afternoon cookout and pool party at our house. At Noon my son and I will attend Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial park here. This is usually a very patriotic & moving ceremony.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and please keep in mind the true meaning of this holiday!

Unless posted our lake & river speed limits are 55, snowmobiles are the same and the really bad part is if you get a ticket it goes on your driving record! When they passed that on snowmobiles I called it quits! what good is it to have a sled that will go 120.

01---I live in CT!!!A lot of Candy *** people with multi million$$$$ homes don't like boats speeding by their homes! Police use Radar on weekends mostly, but they seem to think its to protect the boaters. If you get a ticket it goes on your Car Drivers license history!! With gas at over $4 a gallon I don't do over 70 Mph for long stretches anyways. I pick my times and spots to open it up.

In accordance with the Alabama State Constitution of 1901, it will be raining all damned weekend.

Let's see here...ah, yes, here it is in Section 1 of our state constitution:

quote:

Section 1

Equality and rights of men.

That all men are equally free and independent; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to have it rain every damned Memorial Day weekend for as long as the Earth shall endure.

Chuck,

I am looking at a house on Candlewood Lake right now. My future plans call for a move to the Danbury area (good old GE) Figured we would buy now while we can still afford something nice. This house has a private dock and the real estate lady made a point to tell me about the annoying cigarette boaters on the weekends! Now I will know who to complain to!!! We may close the deal in June then rent it out for a year. It is in Sail Harbor.

Been here at the lake cottage since Thursday. Decided to come up early and get all the mowing, trimming, etc. done. After two weeks of lots of rain, it was pretty long and took me multiple hours on the tractor. Bob and our son, his wife and our two grandsons came up yesterday. Lots of boating, fishing, and just plain goofing off!! Will be here until sometime Monday.......hmmmm..I guess now that Bob is retired we don't actually have to go home...but have lots to do to get ready to leave on Friday for the Texas Stampede!!!!

It's little things like that that make me glad I'm from TEXAS!!!

I've been through your state quite a few times, and I know how it is first hand....

Been out on the lake all day today, and starting again first thing in the AM... Tied off with about 400 boats today..... What a party
